화력에너지에 대한 초․중·고등학생의 인식 및 교육 실태 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 화력 에너지에 대한 초중고 학생들의 제 인식을 설문 조사하기 위하여 초등학교, 중학교, 고등학교 학생들을 대상으로 편의적 표집을 실시하였다. 표집된 학교와 학생 수는 초등 2개교 131명, 중학교 2개교 195명, 고등학교 2개교 121명로서 총 6개교 447명이었다. 이 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 화력 에너지에 대한 학교 학습 경험 정도와 관련하여서는 학령이 높아져 감에 따라 화력 에너지에 대해 학습을 경험한 학생의 비율이 높아지고 있었다. 둘째, 화력 에너지에 대한 학습은, 초등학생의 경우 5, 6학년에서, 중학생의 경우 초등학교 5, 6 학년과 중학교 1, 2학년에서, 고등학생의 경우 중학교 1, 2, 3학년과 고등학교 1, 2학년에서 주로 이루어졌다. 그러나 이 세 가지 학령 집단에서 공히 초등학교 저학년인 1, 2, 3, 4학년에 학습했던 경험은 없는 것으로 조사되었다. 셋째, 화력 에너지를 학습한 교과는 초등학교의 경우 과학이 42.86%, 사회가 28.57%를 차지하고 있었으며, 중학교의 경우 기술이 42.86%, 과학이 33.33%를 고등학교의 경우 기술이 72.94%, 과학이 21.18%로 가장 큰 비중을 차지하고 있었다. 넷째, 화력 에너지 관련하여 학습하였던 내용은 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학생 모두 화력, 수력, 원자력, 신재 생에너지 자체에 대한 내용이 많은 비중을 차지하고 있었다. 그러나 에너지 사용과 환경오염과의 관련성이나 국토 개발과 환경 영향, 에너지 절약과 화력 에너지와의 관계 등의 사회 현상이나 가치에 관련된 주제의 비중은 적었다. 다섯째, 우리나라 전기 생산량 중 화력 발전이 차지하는 비중에 대한 인지도를 알아본 결과, 모른다고 응답한 학생의 경우 초등학생이 48.09%, 중학생이 24.62%, 고등학생이 33.06%를 차지하고 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the perception of students in elementary school, middle school and high school and educational practice on the thermal energy. To achieve the purposes of this study, the convenience sampling was carried out. The samples are total 447 students of 6 schools in which 131 students of two elementary schools, 195 students of two middle schools and 121 students of two high schools were contained. The major findings were as follows: First, the ratios of students with experience on the thermal energy were commensurated with the height of grades. Second, the main learning periods on the thermal energy of elementary school students were 5th and 6th grade, that of middle school students were 5th and 6th grade in elementary school and 1st and 2nd grade in middle school, and that of high school were 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade in middle school and 1st and 2nd grade in high school. But all school group students did not have the learning experience in 1st to 4th grade in elementary school. Third, the ratio of subject giving learning experience were that Science was 42.86% and Society was 28.57% in elementary school, that Technology was 42.86%, Science was 33.33% in middle school, and that Technology was 72.94% and Science was 21.18%. Forth, the main contents concerned with the thermal energy were ‘thermal generated energy’, ‘water generated energy’, ‘nuclear energy’ and ‘new renewal energy’. But the contents of social henomenon and values concerning ‘energy use and environmental pollution’, ‘national land development and environmental effects’, ‘the relations between energy conservation and thermal energy’ were not main. Fifth, the numbers of students not to have the knowledge on the ratio of the thermal energy in electricity of Korean were 48.09% of elementary school students, 24.62% of middle school students and 33.06% of high school students.
