라캉의 ‘욕망-욕동’론에 의거한, 학력성취도와 학업 관련 정서적 성취도 간의 괴리 현상에 대한 분석

국문 초록

이 글은 라캉의 정신분석이론을 활용하여, 학습활동에 대한 부정적인 정서에도 불구하고 학습활동에 매우 많은 시간을 투입하여 높은 학력성취도를 이루는 정신적 메커니즘과 학습활동과 정서적 성취도가 함께 높은 학습활동의 서로 다른 메커니즘을 밝혀내고자 하는 연구이다. 라캉에 의하면 욕망은 타자의 욕망이므로, 욕망으로서 학업에 임하는 학생은 학력성취도는 높을 수가 있어도, 학업에 대하여 긍정적인 정서를 가질 수가 없다. 이에 비해 욕동의 맥락에서의 학업이란 높은 학습동기와 학업에 있어서의 자아효능감을 기반으로 한, 자기주도적이고 창의적인 지식 생활 활동이다. 그리고 욕동은 순환활동 자체를 통하여 억압 없는 만족감을 가져다 준다는 맥락에서, 욕동으로서 학업은 학생에게 지적 활동에의 도전 자체가 만족감을 가져다준다. 따라서 욕동으로서 학업에 임하는 학생은 학업의 정서적 성취도가 높아진다. 현재 우리 학생들의 학업관련 정서적 성취도가 낮은 이유는 학업욕동이 아닌 학업욕망에 의거한 학습활동을 하기 때문이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze on the desire and the drive to learning on Lacan s thinking. The necessity of the study is that Korean education faces the big problem such as dividing between high academic performance and low affective performance of Korea student, so we need to psychoanalytically investigate about the learning mechanism. In Lacan, ‘castration’ or ‘paternal metaphor’ lets person have ‘the unconsciousness’, ‘subject’ and ‘desire’. The desire stems from the discrepancy and distance between what he/she really wish to get and what he/she told about it. And the desire is the desire of/by ‘the Other’ such as the mother. So, the desire to learning is not on him/her own, but is always the desire of/ by the Other. But the drive comes from ‘the partial body’ involved ‘the partial object’. So the drive to learning is the drive on him/her own. ‘The object-a’ is the resource of the Reality within the Symbolic . The subject gets ‘the fantasy’ which ‘the object-a’ let him/her feel ‘the Jouissance’. The desire attempts to take directly substitutes for the object-a under the fantasy. But the attempts of desire always fail to reach the Jouissnace. So a student with the learning desire falls into the low affective performance achieve in spite of the high academic performance. The drives tried to only approach or cruise around the partial objects as substitutes for the object-a with the fantasy. So the drives gain always the feeling of the Jouissance, and a student that have the learning drive keeps the highly affective performance on learning.
