국문 초록

본 연구는 수학개념이 포함된 동작활동이 유아의 수학능력 및 수학적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 유아교육 현장에 수학개념을 동작으로 표현해 보는 교수-학습방법을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 만 4세 유아 46명으로 실험집단과 비교집단에 무선 배정하였다. 수학개념이 포함된 동작활동이 유아의 수학능력과 수학적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 집단 간 사전 사후 검사 후 수집된 자료를 SPSS프로그램을 이용하여 독립표본 t-test로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 첫째, 수학개념이 포함된 동작활동에 참여한 실험집단의 유아들이 비교집단의 유아들보다 사후 검증한 결과 전체 수학능력접수가 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 수학능력의 하위요인인 대수, 수와 연산, 기하, 측정에서 실험집단이 비교집단보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 수학개념이 포함된 동작활동에 참여한 실험집단의 유아들과 비교집단의 유아들의 수학적 태도 점수는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to find whether the movement activities including mathematical concepts is effective or not on young children's mathematical ability and mathematical attitude. This study selected two 5-year-old classes of a private kindergarten located in Gyeonggi-do, and randomly assigned 23 children in an experimental group and a comparison group. Children in the experimental group implemented the movement activities including mathematical concepts, while those in the comparison group was implemented activity of mathematical playthings with free-choice-activity time like the experimental group's theme. t-test was performed to data collected from pre-test and post-test, by means of SPSS statistical program, in order to find whether there is a difference in the post-test. The results of this study: First, as the result of verifying the difference between two groups, the experimental group with implementing the movement activities including mathematical concepts showed significantly higher marks in terms of mathematical ability, than the comparison group. Especially, the algebra, numbers and counting, geometry, measurement by the subordinate factors of mathematics ability, statistically, experimental group showed to significant higher than comparison group. Second, experimental group and comparison group children showed no difference in the mathematical attitude.
