유아기 자녀를 둔 다문화가정 어머니에 대한 사회적 지지에 따른 문화적응에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 다문화가정 어머니에 대한 사회적 지지에 따른 문화적응과의 관계를 살펴보고자 서울•경기 지역 유아교육기관에 다니는 만 3, 4, 5세 자녀를 둔 다문화가정의 부모 167명을 대상으로 연구 조사하였다. 연구결과 다문화가정 어머니의 문화적응 유형 중‘통합’수준이 중간보다 높게 나타났으나‘동화’나‘분리’,‘주변화’수준은 중간보다 다소 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 관련 변인에 따른 문화적응 중‘동화’유형은 남편의 직업과 학력, 출신국적, 월평균수입 등에 따라 차이가 있었으며, '분리'유형에서는 남편의 직업, 학력과 본인의 출신국적과 직업, ‘통합’ 유형에서는 본인의 직업에 따라 차이를 보였으며, '주변화' 유형에서는 남편의 직업과 학력, 본인의 출신국적과 본인 직업, 가정의 월평균수입 등에 따라 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 다문화가정 어머니의 문화적응은 사회적 지지와 밀접한 상관관계가 있었으며 문화적응에 있어서도 사회적 지지가 영향력 있는 요인으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 다문화가정이 유아교육의 새로운 부모집단으로써 이들의 적응을 돕는 유아교육기관 중심의 교육적 지원이 뒤따라야함을 시사하는 결과라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims at investigating the relationship with the acculturation according to social support for the mother in multi-cultural family who has the young children. Accordingly, I have investigated 167 parents of the multi-cultural families who have the 3 to 5 years old children who are attending the educational institutions for the younger children in Seoul and Gyeonggi province areas. The results are as follows. First of all, 'integration' level, one of the types of acculturation of the mother in multi-cultural family, is higher than the medium, but 'assimilation', 'separation' or 'main shift' level is a little lower than the medium. Among the factors of acculturation according to the related variables, the type of 'assimilation' has difference in the occupation of their husbands, educational background, original nationality, monthly income and so on. In addition, there is a meaningful difference in the type of 'separation' according to the occupation of their husbands, educational background, original nationality and their own jobs and so forth. In the type of 'integration' there is a meaningful difference according to their own jobs. Finally, there is a meaningful difference in the type of 'main shift' according to the occupation of their husbands, educational background, original nationality, their own jobs, monthly income of the family and so on. The acculturation of the mother in multi-cultural family is closely related to the social support and the social support is also the influential factor of acculturation. This result imply that the educational institutions for the younger children should support, in particular, in the center of the educational institutions for the younger children, for the new group of parents of the multi-cultural families in educational aspects.
