현대 중국어 문장 중 부사와 문장 끝에 놓인 助詞 "了"의 상관 관계 고찰

영문 초록

Native speakers of Chinese do not usually experience problems in the use of the sentence-final position particle "Ie." They can for most times rely on their linguistic intuition for the correct judgment on its usage. Non-native learners of the Chinese language do not however have the same advantage as the kind of linguistic intuition in question usualJy takes rather long time to develop. "Le" is therefore a problem in the teaching of Chinese to non-native learners. What the native Chinese speaker knows more or less instinctively does not seem to be readily communicable to them It is unrealistic, as we can see, to require them to judge on the correct usage of "Ie" purely on their limited intuitions of the language developed over a very short period of learning it. We do not of course intend to underestimate the importance of linguistic intuition and the knowledge of pragmatics in the full mastery of a language. But in the case of "Ie," it will be more practical to produce some formalistic descriptions of the particle to help non-native learners at the beginners level. With such a purpose in mind, we have analyzed over 1600 sentences with "Ie" as sentence-final position particle, all taken from the 12 volumes of Yuwen published by Remin jiaoyu chubanshe in 1995-I998. We have discovered in the process several adverbs which are particularly sensitive to the presence of "Ie", i.e., its presence or otherwise affects crucially the sense of the sentence or its well-formedness where such adverbs are also present. This paper will discuss the formal markers of the inter-relatedness of "Ie" and certain adverbs in the hope that such analysis will help in the teaching of "le" to non-native learners.
