The beginning of digital wave that started as we entered a period of HD has changed a domain of film market and converted into a period of various contents. Preexistence of methods through analogs has been reorganized and many artisans who have been sticking to preexistent methods had been gradually excluded. This is a result of a downfall of preexistence in apprentice system, an involvement of young competent workers who are familiar with digital system and a reorganization of fast and various digital film market from slow analog film market. In other words, it would be impossible to survive if digital usage is not understood and applied even in this still remaining analog film market. As a professor, the writer always keep in mind of students' involvement in real field while teaching and cannot stop thinking about digital filmmaking process that fits for this rapidly changing reality and students’aspiration. An application of digital for production design is an essential condition, but a real use of it is always insufficient. Many graduated students who are working in real film market or in various similar fields as a production designer or an art director still have hard time using digital applications and made the writer recognize a need of appropriate educations in digital application. For this reason, the use of digital program in visualization is discussed in this paper. The digital period of image brought digitalization in all making process, and visualization is not an exception. The main purpose of visualization is seeing image on a monitor before the film is made. For this reason, a production designer can use many different digital programs for visualization, but the best program for easier and faster presentation is Google SketchUp. First of all, it can be downloaded easily from Google homepage for free, and it has very simple interface unlike other 3D programs. And mostly, a user can upload his own source file and the others can download what he has uploaded. For this reason, people can share the files and download a modeling instantly, instead of making one difficultly. The writer myself is also in difficult position of handling digital programs compared to young generation, but I was able to visualize my own in a week. Thus, the SketchUp is the best and the most efficient program. Nowadays, many people use this program for their presentation in real field. Therefore, the study will focus on how special features of SketchUp can be applied more efficiently in visualization. And also, it will examine concepts and special features of Google SketchUp and how these can be efficiently used for narrative visualization and application.
