국문 초록

본 연구는 초고령사회로 진입한 한국 사회에서 노년층의 인권 침해 인식이 심리적 웰빙에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 규명하고, 이 과정에서 자아존중감과 사회적 고립감이 수행하는 다중매개 효과를 실증적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구대상은 장년 및 노년층이며, 주요 변인은 인권 침해 인식, 자아존중감, 사회적 고립감, 심리적 웰빙으로 설정하였다. 분석은 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였으며, Sobel 검증을 통해 매개효과의 유의성을 확인하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 인권 침해 인식은 심리적 웰빙에 부정적인 직접효과를 나타냈다. 둘째, 인권 침해 인식은 자아존중감을 저하시키고 사회적 고립감을 심화시켜, 심리적 웰빙을 간접적으로 악화시키는 경로가 확인되었다. 셋째, 자아존중감과 사회적 고립감은 병렬적 매개 구조를 형성하여 다중매개 효과가 통계적으로유의함이 검증되었다. 이러한 결과는 인권 침해 인식이 노년층의 심리적 웰빙에 미치는 영향을 설명하는 데 있어 자아존중감과 사회적 고립감이라는 심리사회적 변인이 핵심적 매개 경로로 작동함을 보여준다. 본 연구는 기존 연구가 주로 직접효과에 국한되었던 접근을 넘어, 개인적 차원(자아존중감)과 사회적 차원(사회적 고립감)을 동시에 고려한 양면적 분석모형을 검증함으로써 학문적 차별성을 갖는다. 또한 노년층 인권 증진과 심리적 개입을 위한 정책적·실천적 대안을 마련하는데 중요한 근거를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the impact of perceived human rights violations on the psychological wellbeing of the elderly in Korea, a society that has entered a super-aged stage, and to empirically analyze the multiple mediating effects of self-esteem and social isolation in this process. The participants of this study were middle-aged and older adults, and the main variables were perceived human rights violation, selfesteem, social isolation, and psychological well-being. Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted, and the significance of the mediating effects was verified using the Sobel test. The results revealed three main findings. First, perceived human rights violation had a negative direct effect on psychological wellbeing. Second, perceived human rights violation lowered self-esteem and increased social isolation, which in turn indirectly exacerbated psychological well-being. Third, self-esteem and social isolation formed a parallel mediating structure, and the multiple mediating effects were found to be statistically significant. These findings suggest that self-esteem and social isolation serve as crucial psychosocial mediators in explaining the relationship between perceived human rights violation and psychological well-being among the elderly. This study extends beyond the conventional focus on direct effects by validating a dual-channel analytical model that considers both individual-level factors (self-esteem) and social-contextual factors (social isolation). The results provide an important empirical foundation for designing policies and psychological interventions aimed at enhancing human rights protection and improving the well-being of the elderly in a super-aged society.
