국문 초록

본 연구는 인구 감소, 고령화, 청년 유출 등으로 인한 지역소멸 위기 상황에서, 연극치료가 이러한 사회 문제들과 어떻게 연결되며, 다양한 행위자들과 어떤 네트워크를 형성해 나가는지를 구체적으로 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 논산시치매안심센터와 연계한 치매 예방 연극치료 프로그램 사례를 ANT 번역 4단계로 분석하였다. 그 결과 연극치료는 지역사회의 다양한 행위자들과 관계 맺으며 사회적 네트워크를 강화하였다. 문제제기에서는 인간 및 비인간 행위자들이 연결되어 네트워크가 형성되었다. 관심끌기는 이동지원, 운영방식, 연극 기법 등이 네트워크 참여를 촉진하였다. 등록하기는 역할 분담을 통해 프로그램 안정성과 참여자 간 연결감이 강화되었고, 마지막 동원하기에서는 공연 발표를 통해 지역사회와 연계되어 치매 예방의 효과가 가시화되었다. 이로써 연극치료는 치매 예방을 넘어, 지역 공동체의 회복과 연대 형성에 기여하는 네트워크 기반의 문화예술 치유 방식임을 보여준다. 나아가 연극치료가 지역 기반 예술치유 모델로 확장될 가능성과 지역사회 문제 해결에 개입할 수 있는 중요한 실천적 접근임을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study explores how drama therapy engages with social issues such as population decline, aging, and youth outmigration, and how it builds networks with various actors in the context of regional extinction. To this end, the study analyzes a case of a dementia prevention drama therapy program implemented in collaboration with the Nonsan Dementia Relief Center using the four stages of translation from Actor-Network Theory (ANT). The findings reveal that drama therapy strengthens the social network by forming relationships with diverse actors in the community. In the stage of problematization, both human and non-human actors connected to form a network. In interessement, transportation support, operational methods, and dramatic techniques encouraged participation in the network. In enrollment, role distribution reinforced program stability and participant connectedness. Finally, in mobilization, the final performance linked the program to the local community and made the effects of dementia prevention visible. These results demonstrate that drama therapy, beyond preventing dementia, serves as a network-based cultural and artistic healing approach that contributes to community recovery and solidarity. Furthermore, the study suggests the potential for drama therapy to be expanded as a community-based arts therapy model and to serve as a meaningful practical intervention in addressing local social issues.
