국문 초록

This study aims to analyze the film curriculum of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) to identify its educational characteristics and structural components, and to draw implications for film education in Korea. The IB DP Film course is structured around three core areas (film analysis, film production, and exploration of context) and integrates theory, practice, and cultural inquiry. Through tasks such as critical essays, independent research, creative portfolios, and collaborative projects, students are encouraged to develop critical thinking and creativity. The program’s emphasis on formative assessment fosters self-reflection and intercultural comparison, promoting a learner-centered approach. This pedagogical model provides meaningful insights for overcoming the limitations of Korea’s practice-oriented film education by offering an integrated framework that balances theory, expression, and reflection. The study suggests that the IB DP Film curriculum can serve as a valuable reference for enhancing the quality of Korean film education in line with global educational standards.
