국문 초록

본 연구는 대학 교수자의 교수역량 수준에 따라 집단을 유형화하고, 이들 잠재집단에 영향을 미치는 개인 특성을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 H대학교 전체 교원을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 총 101명의 응답 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. 분석 방법으로는 잠재프로파일 분석과 다항 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 교수역량 수준에 따라 ‘적응형’, ‘성장형’, ‘숙달형’의 3개 집단이 도출되었으며, 세 집단 모두에서 ‘대학 이해’, ‘학생 상담’, ‘전문성 개발’ 역량이 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 연령과 교수경력은 집단 유형 분류에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 특히 30대 응답자는 60대에 비해 ‘적응형’ 또는 ‘성장형’ 집단에 속할 가능성이 통계적으로 유의미하게 높았으며, 10년 이상 19년 이하 교수경력자는 20년 이상 경력자보다 ‘성장형’ 집단에 속할 가능성이 유의하게 높았다. 이는 교수자의 연령과 경력이 교수역량 발달 단계에 따라 차별화된 특성을 보일 수 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구는 교수자의 역량 수준과 개인 변인을 반영한 맞춤형 교수지원 정책의 필요성을 제언한다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to classify university faculty members into latent groups based on their teaching competency levels and to analyze individual characteristics that influence group membership. A survey was conducted with all faculty members at H University, and responses from a total of 101 participants were used for analysis. Latent profile analysis and multinomial logistic regression were employed as the primary analytical methods. The analysis identified three distinct profiles: “Adaptive,” “Growth,” and “Proficient.” Across all three groups, competencies related to “understanding of the university,” “student counseling,” and “professional development” were found to be relatively low. Furthermore, age and teaching experience significantly influenced profile membership. Faculty members in their 30s were statistically more likely to be classified into the “Adaptive” or “Growth” groups compared to those in their 60s. Similarly, those with 10 to 19 years of experience were more likely to fall into the “Growth” group than those with over 20 years of experience. These findings suggest that teaching competency development may differ by career stage, particularly in relation to age and experience. Based on these results, this study emphasizes the need for differentiated faculty development policies tailored to both competency levels and individual characteristics.
