국문 초록

본 연구는 항공관광과 학생들의 TOEIC Speaking 능력 향상을 위해 협동학습을 적용한 효과를 분석하였다. 연구 대상은 2019학년도 2학기 '고급토익' 수강생 76명으로, 15주간 매주 2시간씩 소그룹 협동학습을 진행하였다. TOEIC Speaking의 6개 파트별로 Round Robin, Peer Feedback, Jigsaw 등의 협동학습 기법을 적용하였으며, 항공사 지원 요건인 Level 5 이상 달성을 목표로 하였다. 연구 결과, 51.3%(39명)의 학생이 Level 5 이상을 취득하였으며, 외국어 불안감(FLCAS)도 유의미하게 감소하였다. 이는 협동학습이 의사소통 능력 향상과 학습 심리 개선에 효과적임을 시사한다

영문 초록

This study examines the effects of cooperative learning on TOEIC Speaking proficiency among aviation tourism majors. Seventy-six students participated in a 15-week course, utilizing small-group cooperative learning strategies (e.g., Round Robin, Peer Feedback) tailored to each of the six TOEIC Speaking tasks. The goal was to achieve Level 5 or higher, a common requirement for airline cabin crew applicants. Results showed that 51.3% (39 students) attained Level 5 or above, with significant reductions in foreign language anxiety (FLCAS). The findings highlight cooperative learning as an effective pedagogical approach for enhancing speaking skills and fostering a supportive learning environment in EFL contexts.
