고등학교 기술 교육과정의 운영에 관한 현황과 기술 교사들의 인식: 충남, 충북, 세종 지역을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 고등학교 기술 교육과정의 운영 현황을 파악하고, 고등학교 기술 교육과정에 관한 기술 교사의 인식을 탐구하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 세종, 충남, 충북 지역의 222개교를 대상으로 최근 3년간 (2022-2024) 학교 교육과정 계획서를 수집하였다. 그리고 고등학교 기술 교사 138명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시했으며, 고등학교 기술 교사 10명을 대상으로 면담을 실시하여 수집한 자료들을 분석하였다. 학교 교육과정 계획서를 통해 수집한 자료는 엑셀(Excel)을 활용하여 통계 분석하였다. 그리고 설문조사 중 선택형 문항을 통해 얻은 자료는 SPSS 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 개방형 문항을 통해 얻은 자료는 내용분석법을 활용해 분석하였으며, 심층 면담 내용은 교사의 경험에 초점을 둔 현상학적 접근으로 연구를 실시하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학교 기술 교육의 일반선택과목인 기술․가정 과목이 운영되는 학교의 수가 점차 줄고 있다. 둘째, 학교 현장에서 고등학교 기술 교육과정의 운영에 관한 기술 교사의 만족도는 전체적으로 낮은 것으로 나타난다. 셋째, 고등학교 기술 교사는 기술 교육과정을 운영하며 어려움을 겪고 있지만 이를 극복하기 위해서 다양하게 노력하고 있다. 이러한 결과는 향후 고교학점제와 2022 개정 교육과정의 시행을 앞두고 의미 있는 자료로 활용될 수 있으며, 고등학교 기술 교사의 교육과정 운영에 있어서 도전과 이슈를 해결할 수 있는 추가 연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of high school technology education curriculum and to explore the perceptions and experiences of technology teachers regarding high school technology education curriculum. To this end, school curriculum annual plans for the past three years (2022-2024) were collected from 222 schools in Chungnam, Chungbuk, and Sejong regions. In addition, a survey was conducted on 138 high school technology teachers, and interviews were conducted with 10 high school technology teachers to analyze the collected data. The data collected through the school curriculum plans were statistically analyzed using Excel. In addition, the data obtained through the questions in the survey were analyzed using the SPSS program. The data obtained through the open-ended questions were analyzed using content analysis, and the content of the in-depth interviews was analyzed using a phenomenological approach as qualitative data. The results of this study are as follows. First, the number of schools operating technology and home economics subjects, which are currently the main subjects of high school technology education, is gradually decreasing. Second, the satisfaction of technology teachers regarding the implementation of high school technology education curriculum in schools is found to be inadequate. Third, high school technology teachers are experiencing difficulties in operating technology education courses, but they are making various efforts to overcome them. These results can be used as meaningful data in the future ahead of the implementation of the high school credit system and the 2022 revised curriculum, and active additional research and interest are needed to solve challenges and issues in implementing the curriculum for high school technology teachers.
