국문 초록

최근 다양한 분야에서 다문화에 대한 관심은 극도로 고조되고 있지만 한국 내 이주민들에 대해서는 국가를 중심으로 이해할 뿐 그 실체에 대한 다양성을 이해하고자 하는 노력이 부족하다는 것이 지적되어 왔다. 이에 본 연구는 한국 내 인도네시아 이주민들의 공동체 문화다양성을 중심으로 다문화지도제작을 시도, 이를 통해 한국 다문화 현상에 대한 실제적 이해를 하고자 하였다. 자료 수집, 분석, 해석을 위해 본 연구는 질적 연구 방법의 일환으로 민속방법론을 중심으로 하는 브리콜라주(bricolage)를 사용하고 있다. 이로부터 이주민들에 공동체 문화는 한국이라는 특수한 시간과 공간 속에서 본국과 다른 형태도 다양화 될 수 있는 가능성을 이해할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 한국의 다문화 연구에 두 가지 함의를 있다. 첫째, 다문화의 주체와 실체에 대한 다각적 이해가 우선되어야 한다. 둘째, 다문화라는 의미에 대해서 사전적 또는 선험적 의미에 의존하지 않고 현 시간과 공간에서 생성, 소유, 소멸되는 역동적인 관계 속에 진정한 의미에 대한 논의가 필요하다. 본 연구는 직접적으로 다문화 교육을 논의하고 있지만, 그 성격상 이를 위한 기초연구 성격을 가지고 있다고 할 수 있다. Recently, Korean scholars have expressed concerns on multi-culturalism. While these current trends have been rapidly spreading, I find a simple but important problem, that there exists a lack of understanding real target populations. To resolve this, through investigation and drawing Indonesian migrants' cultural map in the sense of community construction, this study begins to discuss suggestions on multi-culturalism in South Korea. For this study, as a qualitative methodology, I choose the bricolage method combined with ethnomethodology, case study, autoethnography, and narrative. I collected data from a native investigator who does telephone interviews, face-to-face interviews, self-reflections, and writing a partial autography with my guidances. This study codes, describes, analyzes, and interprets the results by certain themes emerging from it. For this process, I find unpredictable results of cultural characters and meanings of community construction, mostly by trans-nationalism. From these results, I also discussed two implications of multi-culturalism. First, real populations of multi-cultural entities should be understood in multi-dimensions. Second, authentic meanings of multi-culturalism should be discussed in the context of South Korean society rather than depending on dictionary and taken-for-granted definitions. Also, this study will be a grounded data for multi-cultural education although it is not directly discussing the issue in terms of multi-cultural education.
