국문 초록

학교에 나타나는 현상으로서 학교문화나 학교문화 자체에 대한 이해뿐만 아니라 그러한 문화를 의도하는 방향으로 어떻게 변화시킬 것인가에 대한 논의가 교육인류학계에서 활발히 전개되고 있다. 본 연구는 지금까지 학교를 바꾸기 위해서 학교문화의 변화가 중요함에도 학교개혁의 연구에서 많은 부분 학교문화가 간과되었다는 점, 학교변화의 조건으로서 학교문화를 이해해야 할 필요성, 학교문화의 변화 가능성 및 속도, 학교변화의 형태로서 구조적 변화와 규범적 변화, 그리고 변화의 전략으로서 목표, 내용, 방법을 학교문화 관련 자료와 문헌연구를 통하여 비판적으로 논의하였다. 결론적으로 학교를 변화시키기 위하여 중요한 것은 학교문화를 변화시키는 일이고, 학교문화의 변화 동인으로서 학교장의 상징적 리더십과 연구자로서 교사의 역할을 제시하였으며, 구조적 변화 보다는 구성원의 의식, 사고, 행동의 변화를 강조하는 규범적 변화를 통하여 성공적인 학교문화 만들기가 가능하다는 점을 주장하였다. 학교문화 변화 연구에 있어서 연구자가 반성적으로 고려해야 할 점도 아울러 제시하였다. One of the Anthropological concerns on school has been focused the changing strategies of school culture. The theme has been discussed on the basis of understanding the cultural phenomena and realities of school. The purpose of this study is to articulate the changing strategies of school culture, consequently to shape the successful culture in school. To accomplish this purpose, based on literature review and reanalysis of relative data, the study has discussed and analyzed the importance of culture to restructure the school, the possibility and the degree of change in school culture, the type of school change(structural change and normative change), and the strategies of school change(purpose, content, and methods). Finding of the study indicates that the key is the school culture. Consequently, it is suggested that to implement the change of school is to change the school culture. The embryo of the school change initiates from the symbolic leadership of the principal and the teacher as a researcher. In this sense, normative change of the people(esp. principal and teacher) in school, which emphasizes the changing the way of thought, way of seeing, way of behaving in school rather than the structural change, is the sine qua none for the successful school.
