영아의 어린이집 생활세계 구성 과정

국문 초록

본 연구는 만 1세 영아가 가정에서 어린이집으로 이행되는 과정을 밀착관찰을 통하여 기술하고 이를 이해하여, 영아의 체험 구조를 유추해 보고자 시도한 바, 어린이집 ‘안으로’의 경험과 어린이집 ‘안에서’의 경험으로 드러낼 수 있었다. 첫째, 어린이집 안으로의 경험에서 영아는 어린이집 공간이 부모부재의 공간임을 체험하고 부모를 대신하는 대상을 찾았다. 영아는 부모를 대신하는 대상을 안전 기지로 어린이집 안으로 들어오게 되었다. 둘째, 어린이집 안에서의 경험에서 영아는 혼자서해야 하는 일들과 또래들과 함께 살아가기 위해 해야 하는 일들을 동시에 해결해야만 하였다. 영아들은 표시하기, 따라하기, 탐구하기 등의 행동을 통하여 직면한 과제들을 해결해 나갔다. The purpose of this research is to understand how toddlers construct their lived-worlds in child-care center in the course of the transition from home to child-canter, and to analyze their experience structure. The research method is guided by Van Manen`s qualitative methodology of hermeneutic phenomenology, especially its coherent observation method. The participants of this research are totally 18 toddlers of I year-old and 4 teachers of these children.. Based on essential themes of toddler`s lived-world experiences emerged, research findings are made as follows; Firstly, how toddlers experience their lived-worlds in child-care center? Toddlers made up their lived-worlds of (1) the experiences into the child-care center, (2) the experiences inside the child-care center. Secondly, what is the experience structure of toddlers shown in their own construction of lived-worlds in child-care center? In diachronic structure, toddlers have developed their lived-worlds throughout forming, unfolding, and expanding their experiences. In synchronic structure, the toddlers connected what they had realized from the active ‘appropriation’ of experience to the adaptation of themselves in the strange environments of child-care center. Its process was observed in their efforts of efforts to do things around ‘for oneself’ and to do ‘together’ with others.
