대학생의 전공교육만족도에 미치는 학교 요인 탐색: K 영향을 대학교 사례를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 전공교육만족도에 대한 계열별 차이를 분석하고, 전공교육만족도에 영향을 미치는 학교 차원의 요인들을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 충남에 위치한 4년제 종합대학인 K 대학교에 재학 중인 2,951 명의 설문 답 데이터를 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 계열별 전공교육 만족도에서 유의미한 차이가 발견되었다. 공학 계열과 예체능 계열 학생들이 인문·사회 계열과 자연 계열 학생들보다 전공교육만족도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생의 전공교육만족도에 영향을 미치는 학교 요인을 분석한 결과, ‘수업 영역’ 중 학과 목표 전공역량 인식, 학과 목표 전공역량 적절성, 전공교육과정 이수 체계, 강의계획서 충실성, 성적 평가 공정성, 실험 실습 중심 수업, 문제 및 탐구 기만 학습, 현장 기반 학습이 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, ‘교수(teaching) 영역' 중 학생 상담에 대한 교수전의 적극성이 전공교육 만족도에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 계열별로 각기 다른 교수학습 방법이 전공교육만족도에 미치는 영향이 상이하게 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 전공교육 질 향상을 위한 시사집을 제시하였으며, 연구의 한계점과 후속 연구의 방향성도 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of thi s study is to analyze the differences in major education satisfaction among university student s by academic division and to explore school-level factors that influence major education satisfaction. To achieve this, survey responses of 2,951 students enrolled at K University, a four—year university located in Chungnam, were analyzed. The main findings of the study are as follows : First, there were significant differences in maj or education satisfaction across different academic divi sions. Students in the engineering and arts and physical education fields reported lower satisfaction with their major education than students in the humanities and social sciences and natural science. Second, an analysi s of the school factors influencing college students with their major education revealed that within the 'instructional area', affecting maj or education satisfaction showed that the following factors had a positive impact: student s' perception of their department's major competency goals, appropriateness of these goals, the curriculum structure for completing major requirements, the thoroughness of course syllabi, fairness of grade evaluation, the emphasis on practical and laboratory—based courses, problem—and inquiry—based learning, and field—based learning. Additionally, in the 'teaching' area, the nature of student counseling by faculty positively influenced major education satisfaction. Third, the impact of each teaching and learning method on major education satisfaction varied by academic division. Based on the result s of this study, implications and limitations were discussed, and suggestions for future research were proposed.
