노년초월과 주관적 안녕감의 관계: 죽음 불안과 정서 조절 곤란의 조절된 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 노년초월과 주관적 안녕감 간의 관계에서 죽음 불안과 정서 조절 곤란의 조절된 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국내에 거주하는 만 65세 이상 노인 300명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 최종 285명의 데이터를 SPSS 21.0과 SPSS process Macro 4.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 변인 간 상관분석을 실시한 결과 주요 변인들 간 상관관계는 모두 유의하였다. 둘째, 노년초월과 주관적 안녕감 간의 관계에서 죽음 불안의 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 노년초월과 죽음 불안 간의 관계에서 정서 조절 곤란의 조절효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 노년초월이 죽음 불안을 매개로 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향에서 정서 조절 곤란의 조건부 간접효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 정서 조절 곤란의 조절된 매개효과를 검증함으로써, 노년기 주관적 안녕감 증진을 위한 정서 조절 개입의 가능성을 확인하였다는 데 의의가 있다. 이를 바탕으로 노인의 주관적 안녕감 향상을 위해 상담 및 심리치료적 시사점과 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 기술하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the moderated mediation of death anxiety and difficulty or emotion regulation on the relationship between gerotranscendence and subjective well-being among 300 elderly individuals aged 65 and above in Korea. Data from 285 participants were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and SPSS Process Macro 4.0. The research findings are as follows: First, correlation analysis among the variables revealed significant correlations among all major variables. Second, death anxiety mediated the relationship between gerotranscendence and subjective well-being. Third, the difficulty of emotion regulation moderated the link between gerotranscendence and death anxiety. Fourth, the conditional indirect effect of the difficulty of emotion regulation was significant in influencing subjective well-being through death anxiety. This study highlights the potential of emotion regulation interventions to enhance subjective well-being in older adults, providing implications for counseling and psychology, and suggestions for future research.
