국문 초록

본 연구는 귀환 재외동포 노인의 여가 취향을 개념화하고, 이들의 여가 취향을 형성하는 요인을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 노인, 여가, 재외동포 전문가 10명으로 자문위원을 구성하고 델파이조사를 시행하였다. 1차 델파이조사는 개방형 설문으로 자문위원의 자유로운 의견을 수집하였으며, 2, 3차 델파이조사는 1차 조사를 바탕으로 구성한 폐쇄형 설문으로 개념 정의와 요인의 타당성을 검증하였다. 문항의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 기술통계치, 집중경향치, 긍정률을 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 귀환 재외동포 노인의 여가 취향 개념은 ‘과거의 향수를 상기시킬 수 있는, 이전 거주국의 문화와 한국문화의 융합 속에서 새로운 여가 활동 참여를 결정하게 하는 요인’으로 정의되었다. 귀환 재외동포 노인의 여가 취향을 형성하는 요인은 건강 상태와 여가를 위한 배경을 ‘개인적 요인’, 생활 여가 인프라와 여가를 함께하는 주요 타자를 ‘사회적 요인’, 기존의 국적국 여가문화와 귀환 후 한국에서의 여가문화를 ‘문화적 요인’, 여가에 관한 지식과 생애 시기에 따라 축적된 경험적 정보를 ‘정보적 요인’으로 정리하였다. 본 연구에서는 개인 내적동기와 체류 자격이 고려되지 않았다는 점에서 제한점이 있으며, 이를 바탕으로 한 후속 연구가 필요하다는 점을 제언하였다. 본 연구는 귀환 재외동포 노인의 여가 취향에 관한 개념과 요인을 정의함으로써 이들을 위한 여가정책과 프로그램 설계의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to conceptualize the leisure tastes of returning elderly overseas Koreans and explore the factors shaping these tastes. To this end, a Delphi survey was conducted with a panel of 10 experts in the fields of elderly care, leisure, and overseas Koreans. The first round of the Delphi survey used open-ended questions to gather the free opinions of the panel members, while the second and third rounds used closed-ended questionnaires based on the first round to validate the conceptual definitions and factors. Descriptive statistics, central tendency measures, and approval rates were used to verify the validity of the items. The results of the study defined the concept of leisure tastes of returning elderly overseas Koreans as "factors that influence the decision to participate in new leisure activities through a fusion of the culture of their previous residence and Korean culture, evoking nostalgia from their past." The factors shaping the leisure tastes of these individuals were categorized into 'personal factors' such as health status and background for leisure, 'social factors' such as living leisure infrastructure and key companions for leisure, 'cultural factors' such as the leisure culture of their former country and that of Korea after their return, and 'informational factors' such as knowledge about leisure and empirically accumulated information over their lifetime. The study acknowledged limitations, including the exclusion of personal intrinsic motivation and residency status, suggesting the need for follow-up research based on these aspects. The significance of this study lies in its definition of the concepts and factors related to the leisure tastes of returning elderly overseas Koreans, providing foundational data for designing leisure policies and programs for this demographic.
