독립기념관에서 운영하는 교원 역량강화프로그램 사례연구

국문 초록

연구배경 : 4차산업혁명과 디지털 시대의 흐름에 맞춰 독립기념관 성인교육이 다변화되고 ‘학습자 중심’ 패러다임으로 전환됨에 따라 독립기념관에서 운영하는 교원대상 교육프로그램도 많이 변화하고 있다. 또한 독립기념관의 교원 역량강화프로그램의 교육적 가치와 필요성을 평생교육적 관점에서 탐색하고자 한다. 연구목적 : 독립기념관 교원 역량강화프로그램에 참여한 중등교원의 심층면담을 통해 교원 역량강화프로그램의 의미와 중요성을 재발견하고자 한다. 그리고 독립기념관 교원 역량강화프로그램이 중등교원의 참여동기, 참여경험과 교육적 효과를 심층적으로 탐구하는데 목적이 있다. 또한 평생교육기관으로서 독립기념관에서 운영하는 교원 역량강화프로그램의 향후 실천가능한 방향성을 제안하는데 연구목적이 있다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 질적연구방법의 사례연구방법으로 심층면담을 활용하였다. 교원 역량강화프로그램 중 참여경험이 3회이상, 근무기간 6년이상인 중등교원 7명을 대상으로 심층면담과 문서자료를 통해 탐색하였다. 수집된 자료는 에믹 코딩과 구조 코딩으로 범주화하였다. 연구결과 : 중등교원의 독립기념관 역량강화프로그램 참여동기를 목표지향적, 활동지향적, 학습지향적 측면에서 심층면담자료를 분석하였다. 목표지향적 측면은 이수증 발급 및 교육이수시간 확보, 활동지향적 측면은 인간관계를 넒히고 재충전의 기회 확보, 학습지향적 측면은 역사전문성 함양, 독립운동 전반에 대한 이해 고취 등이다. 참여경험은 수업 적용, 역사적 지식의 확장, 유사 프로그램 기획의 전문성 향상으로 나눠 살펴보았다. 교육적 효과는 역사적 지식 함양, 현장 답사 경험을 통한 역사적 지식 체득, 효율적인 사료 검색‧분석 능력 향상으로 나눠 살펴보았다. 시사점 : 연구결과를 바탕으로 독립기념관 교원 역량강화프로그램 참여 중등교원에 대한 이해를 높이고 역량강화프로그램이 학습자 중심으로 더욱 발전하는 계기가 되며, 독립기념관 교육프로그램 전반적인 발전 도모를 위해 기초자료를 제공하는데 의미가 있다.

영문 초록

Background : As the adult education at the Independence Hall has been diversified and shifted to a 'learner-centered' paradigm in line with the 4th industrial revolution and the digital age, the educational programs for teachers operated by the Independence Hall have been changing a lot. This study aims to explore the educational value and necessity of the Independence Hall's teacher capacity building program from a lifelong education perspective. Purpose : Through in-depth interviews with secondary school teachers who participated in the Independence Hall Teacher Capacity Building Program, this study aims to rediscover the meaning and importance of the Teacher Capacity Building Program. The purpose of this study is to explore in-depth the motivation, participation experience, and educational effects of the Independence Hall Teacher Capacity Building Program on secondary school teachers. In addition, the study aims to suggest possible future directions for the teacher capacity building program operated by Independence Hall as a continuing education institution. Methodology : This study used in-depth interviews as a qualitative case study method to examine the participation motivation, participation experience, and educational effectiveness of secondary school teachers who participated in the Independence Hall Teacher Capacity Building Program. Seven secondary school teachers who have participated in the teacher capacity building program at least three times and have been working for more than six years were interviewed through in-depth interviews and documentary data. The collected data were categorized by emic coding and structural coding. Conclusions : The in-depth interview data were analyzed in terms of goal-oriented, activity-oriented, and learning-oriented aspects of secondary school teachers' motivation to participate in the Independence Hall capacity building program. The goal-oriented aspect is to obtain a certificate of completion and educational credit hours, the activity-oriented aspect is to expand human relationships and secure opportunities for re-combat, and the learning-oriented aspect is to improve historical expertise and enhance understanding of the independence movement. The participation experience was divided into classroom application, expansion of historical knowledge, and professional improvement in planning similar programs. The educational effects were divided into enhancing historical knowledge, acquiring historical knowledge through the field trip experience, and improving the ability to efficiently search and analyze historical documents. Implications : Based on the results of the study, it is meaningful to enhance the understanding of secondary school teachers participating in the Independence Hall Teacher Capacity Building Program and to provide basic data for further development of the overall Independence Hall education program.
