국문 초록

본 연구는 난임 여성의 심리적 불편감이 전문적 도움추구 태도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 부정적 사회적 자기개념을 통한 자기은폐의 조절된 매개효과가 나타나는지 살펴보았다. 연구를 위하여 난임으로 진료 중인 여성 297명을 대상으로 심리적 불편감, 전문적 도움추구 태도, 부정적 사회적 자기개념, 자기은폐를 자기보고식 척도를 사용하여 측정하고, 위계적 회귀분석과 Process Macro를 이용하여 가설을 검증하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 난임 여성은 심리적 불편감을 경험할 때 사회적 자기개념을 부정적으로 인식하게 되면서 전문적 도움추구에 대한 태도가 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자기은폐 성향이 높을수록 사회적 자기개념을 더 부정적으로 인식하게 되면서 전문적 도움추구에 대한 태도 또한 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 난임 여성은 결과적으로 자신을 은폐하려는 경향이 강할수록 사회적인 자기개념을 더 부정적으로 인식하게 되면서 심리적 불편감을 해결하기 위하여 상담 및 심리치료와 같은 전문적인 도움을 찾으려는 태도가 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 시사점을 논의하고 후속 연구에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study was to exam the effect of psychological discomfort among women with infertility on their attitudes towards professional help-seeking and to determine whether self-concealment through negative social self-concept had a moderated mediating effect. A total of 297 women with infertility completed a self-report scale that measured levels of psychological discomfort, professional help-seeking attitude, negative social self-concepts, and self-concealment. The data were analyzed using Hierarchical Regression Analysis and Hayes PROCESS Macro. The results were as follows: First, levels of professional help-seeking attitude became lower as a result of perceived negative social-concept for women who experienced psychological discomfort. Additionally, higher levels of the self-concealment tendency was related to higher levels of the negative self-concept, which in turn led to the lower levels of professional help-seeking attitude toward solving psychological discomfort. Implicaitnos for future research are discussed.
