초등체육의 인성함양 메커니즘에 관한 질적 메타분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등체육의 인성함양 메커니즘을 알아보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초등체육을 통한 인성교육의 질적 연구물의 결과를 종합하여 그 원리나 의미를 찾아보는 질적 메타분석 연구방법을 활용했다. 그 결과, 초등체육을 통한 학생들의 인성은 투입(교사의 의도적인 수업 계획 및 실천)-작용(개인적·사회적 변화)-산출(삶 속에서의 실천)의 메커니즘을 통해 함양되는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 함께 학생들의 인성 함양에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 자기이해, 자기반성, 자기통제 등의 개인적 차원의 성공경험과 격려하기, 협력하기, 배려하기 등과 같이 사회적 차원에서 칭찬하기가 영향을 미치고 있었다. 본 연구는 초등체육을 통해 인성을 가르치고자 하는 교사에게 그 과정과 원리를 제시하여 교육현장에서 체육을 통한 인성함양 수업을 보다 용이하게 하는 기회를 제공한다는 점에서 중요한 의미를 지닌다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mechanism that elementary physical education has had on students cultivating character. To this end, a qualitative meta-synthesis research method was used to find character education’ principle or meaning through elementary physical education. As a result, it was found that students character through elementary physical education was fostered through mechanisms of input(teacher s intentional lesson plan and practice)-action(individual and social change)-output(practice in life). With this, the factors influencing students cultivating character were like this: 1)success experiences such as self-understanding, self-reflection, self-control at personal level, 2)praise such as encouragement, cooperation, and consideration were influencing at the social level. This study has important implications for two reasons. First, this study presents the process and principles to teachers who teach character through physical education. Second, this study provides an opportunity to apply character education through physical education more easily.
