네트워크 분석을 활용한 강원도 하위방언구획 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 강원도 지역에 나타나는 어휘를 검토하여 강원도 방언의 분화 모습을 공시적으로 살펴보고, 강원도 하위방언을 구획하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 강원도 방언은 크게 영서(嶺西) 방언과 영동(嶺東) 방언으로 구분되는데 영서 방언과 영동 방언의 차이는 큰 것으로 보이며 내부적으로도 다양한 모습이 관찰된다. 또한 강원도 방언은 대관령을 기준으로 동서로 분화된 힘만큼이나 남북으로 분화하려는 힘도 강하게 나타나는 것으로 보인다. 이에, 본 연구는 강원도 방언의 어휘 자료를 활용하여 강원도 방언에 네트워크 모델을 적용한 강원도 하위방언 네트워크를 구축하고 강원도의 하위방언 구획을 시도하여 강원도 하위방언의 관계를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 강원도 방언에서 가장 핵심적인 방언은 평창방언으로 나타났으며, 크게 강원도 핵심 방언권(평창, 정선, 영월, 강릉), 삼척 방언권(삼척), 강원도 북부 해안 방언권(인제, 고성, 양양), 영서 방언권(철원, 화천, 양구, 춘성(춘천), 홍성(홍천), 원주(원성), 횡성) 등 4개의 하위방언권으로 구획되었다. 이를 통해 강원도 방언의 동서 분화뿐만 아니라 남북의 분화도 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to review the vocabulary of Gangwondo, to examine how Gangwondo dialect is divided synchronically and to divide Gangwondo dialect into sub-dialect. Gangwondo dialect is divided into Yeongdong dialect and Yeongseo dialect, the difference between them is known to be very large. In other words, various forms of the vocabulary are observed internally. In addition, Gangwondo dialect is likely to have the power to divide into the north and the south as much as the power that is divide into the east and the west by Daegwallyeong. Therefore, using the vocabulary of Gangwondo, this study constructed a sub-dialect network of Gangwondo which applied a network model and analyzed the relationship of sub-dialect in Gangwondo through sub-dialect division. As a result, Gangwondo dialect is largely divided into 4 groups and the most importan sub-dialect in Gangwondo appeared as Pyeongchang dialect. Besides, we could verify not only the power to divide into the east and the west, but also the power of division into the north and the south.
