집단미술치료와 치료적 요인의 연구 경향과 향후 과제

국문 초록

본 연구는 집단미술치료에서 작용하는 치료적 요인에 대한 연구 방향을 제안하기 위해 집단상담의 효과를 설명하는 치료적 요인에 대한 선행연구를 개관하고, 집단상담에서의 치료적 요인의 분류, 발달단계 및 내담자 특성에 따른 치료적 요인을 살펴보았다. 외래환자 및 자기성장 집단에서는 대인간 학습, 자기이해(통찰), 정화, 그리고 응집성 요인이 강조되었고 집단발달 단계에 따라 치료적 요인이 일관성있게 나타나는 것이 아니라 집단원의 특성에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 이러한 관찰에 근거하여 집단미술치료에서의 치료적 요인의 연구방향을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the findings dealing with therapeutic factors in group counseling/therapy and to present the directions of future study in group art therapy. Through reviewing literature on therapeutic factors in group counseling and therapy, except inpatient groups, one of the striking observations is the three main streams of general research tendencies. The most potential therapeutic factors for any particular group vary as a function of the group being studied, the stages of group development being sampled, or the characteristics of group member. Even though the importance of therapeutic factors is varying with the level of group function, interpersonal learning, self-understanding(insight), catharsis, and cohesion are highly emphasized in outpatient groups and self-growth groups. These factors are common factors in group counseling and therapy. A literature on stages of group development supports Yalom's hypothesis that therapeutic factor is differently valued as group development, but shows the inconsistent results. Recently, there is a growing tendancy that the perception on particular therapeutic factor is a function of different participants within group. Based on above observations of therapeutic factors, Future directions for group art therapy are discussed.
