안동 김문과 동래 정문의 풍수적 특징 비교

국문 초록

본 연구는 안동 김문과 동래 정문의 양택과 음택 풍수에 나타난 특징을 비교 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 조선시대에 풍수는 중요하게 활용되고 있었는데, 이들 명문가라 해서 예외가 될 수 없다. 명당 터를 차지하기 위한 치열한 노력이 있었는데, 양택지와 음택지의 지형지세에서 특징적인 모습이 확인되고 있다. 특히 조선시대에 음택풍수가 발달하게 된 배경에는 성리학에바탕을 둔 효사상이 크게 작용하였다. 자식된 도리를 다해야 한다는 사명의식과 아울러, 동기감응론에 바탕을 둔 발복론도 역시 많은 영향을 미치고 있다. 이른바 조선 8대 명당이라 불리는 묘소들은 김문과 정문의 조상 묘에서확인되고 있는데, 풍수적인 특징보다는 자손들의 현달함이 기준이 되었다. 정문과 김문의 양택지와 음택지를 비교하면, 가장 특징적인 모습이 강함과부드러움이 교차하고 있다. 상대적으로 양택지의 지세가 강하면 음택지는 부드러운 곳에 조성하였다. 반면에 양택지가 부드러우면 음택지는 비교적 강한지세에 조성하고 있다. 따라서 권력의 중심에 있으면서 그들만의 가풍을 세습하고, 음양의 조화를 강조한 조상들의 지혜를 적절히 활용하고 있으며, 양택지와 음택지 선정의 합리적인 대안을 제시하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the characteristics found in the Feng Shui of the living spaces (Yangtaek) and burial sites (Eumtaek) of the Andong Kim clan and the Dongnae Jeong clan. During the Joseon Dynasty, Feng Shui was prominently utilized, and these prestigious families were no exception. There was an intense effort to acquire auspicious sites, and distinctive features can be observed in the topography of both Yangtaek and Eumtaek sites. Particularly, the development of burial site Feng Shui during the Joseon Dynasty was greatly influenced by the Confucian ideology of filial piety. The sense of duty to fulfill one's responsibilities as a descendant, along with the theory of fortune enhancement through the doctrine of ancestral energy transmission, significantly impacted the Feng Shui practices. The so-called Eight Great Auspicious Places of Joseon include the ancestral graves of the Kim and Jeong clans, and these places were recognized not because of their Feng Shui characteristics, but rather due to the prominence of the families buried there. When comparing the Yangtaek and Eumtaek sites of the Jeong and Kim clans, a notable feature is the interplay of strength and softness. If the energy of the Yangtaek site is strong, the Eumtaek site is established in a softer location, and vice versa. Thus, while being at the center of power, they adeptly utilized the wisdom of their ancestors, who emphasized the harmony of yin and yang, and provided a rational alternative for selecting the Yangtaek and Eumtaek sites.
