국문 초록
With the popularization of transgender and non-binary gender concepts, the educational issues of transgender students have increasingly drawn attention. This article takes transgender students in Thonburi District, Bangkok, Thailand as the core research object, covering different educational stages such as primary school, secondary school, vocational school, and open university, to explore the challenges they face in the educational process and the corresponding countermeasures. The research finds that although Thai society, influenced by Buddhist culture, shows a relatively inclusive attitude towards the transgender community, transgender students still encounter multiple problems such as self-gender rejection, social and cultural rejection, unequal access to educational resources, and mental health issues. These problems stem from the conflict between traditional binary gender concepts and transgender identity, as well as the disconnection between educational policies and practices. In response to these issues, this article proposes educational response strategies from three dimensions: first, improving educational policies to ensure policy recognition of transgender students; second, promoting gender education at the school level to build a bridge between individual and social recognition; third, establishing a scientific sex education system to help transgender students balance their physiological and psychological identities.
영문 초록
随着跨性别与非二元性别概念的普及,跨性别学生的教育问题日益受到关注,本文以泰国曼谷市吞武里地区的跨性别学生为核心调研对象,涵盖小学、中学、职业学校及开放大学等不同教育阶段,探讨跨性别学生在教育过程中面临的挑战及其对策。研究发现,尽管泰国社会受佛教文化影响对跨性别群体表现出相对包容的态度,但跨性别学生仍面临自我性别排斥、社会文化排斥、教育资源不平等、心理健康问题等多重问题,这些问题源于传统性别二元观念与跨性别认同的冲突,以及教育政策与实践的脱节。针对上述问题,本文从三个维度提出教育回应策略:第一,通过完善教育政策保障跨性别学生的政策认同;第二,在学校层面推动性别教育,以搭建个体与社会认同的桥梁;第三,构建科学的性教育体系,帮助跨性别学生平衡生理与心理认同。
