본 연구의 목적은 혈액투석 환자 대상 음악기반 중재 연구를 주제범위 고찰하여 특성과 효과를 분석하고 그 흐름을 종합적으로 살펴봄으로써 향후 연구의 방향성을 제시하는 것이다. 1990년부터 2025년까지 발표된 국내 문헌에서 ‘혈액투석’, ‘음악치료’, ‘음악요법’, ‘음악중재’ 등을 키워드로 7개의 데이터베이스를 사용해 검색하였고, 총 12편의 문헌을 최종 선정하였다. 분석 결과, 간호영역에서 음악치료 전문가가 아닌 중재자가 실시한 연구들이 대부분이었다. 음악중재는 환자의 선호도를 반영한 음악 감상 활동으로 구성되었으며, 이를 통해 불안, 우울, 스트레스 등의 심리ㆍ정서적 요인에 긍정적 영향을 보고한 연구가 다수였다. 반면, 음악중재 기법과 음악의 치료적 기능은 일반적이고 포괄적으로 서술되어, 중재와 직접적으로 연계된 치료적 근거는 미미한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구는 혈액투석 환자를 대상으로 하는 의료현장 음악기반 중재에서 전문 음악치료사와의 협업을 통한 체계적이고 과학적인 근거중심 접근의 필요성을 제시하며, 실질적이고 효과적인 음악기반 중재 프로그램 개발의 기초자료를 제공하였다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to conduct a scoping review of research on music-based interventions for patients undergoing hemodialysis, analyzing their characteristics and effects while comprehensively examining trends to suggest future research directions. Using keywords such as “hemodialysis,” “music therapy,” “music intervention,” and “music-based intervention,” literature published in Korea from 1990 to 2025 was searched across seven databases, resulting in the final selection of 12 studies. The analysis revealed that most interventions were implemented by non-music therapy professionals, mainly in the field of nursing. The music-based interventions typically consisted of music listening activities based on patients’ preferences and showed positive effects on psychological and emotional factors such as anxiety, depression, and stress. However, the intervention techniques and therapeutic functions of music were described in general and broad terms, with limited therapeutic evidence directly linked to the interventions. This study highlights the need for a systematic, evidence-based approach in collaboration with certified music therapists in medical settings for hemodialysis patients. It also serves as foundational data for the development of practical and effective music-based intervention programs.
