국문 초록

Gulangyu Island, located in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China, is a prominent marine tourism destination designated as a National 5A Tourist Attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2017. The island features a distinctive multicultural identity shaped by the interaction between Chinese and Western cultures, along with influences from the overseas Chinese community. As a result, the island offers a variety of tourism resources, such as rich natural landscapes and a distinctive geographic setting. these elements are organically integrated, enhancing the overall appeal of the destination. Regional culture plays a central role in attracting tourists by linking historical resource, such as heritage sites, museums, and memorials?with educational content and hands-on cultural experiences that promote active visitor engagement. Place attachment serves as a key psychological factor in explaining tourists’ sense of belonging and their intention to revisit, acting as a psychological bridge between perceived attractiveness and behavioral intention. In recent years, Gulangyu’s tourism industry and related content have expanded rapidly, driven by local efforts and the strategic advantages of tourism governance. This study focuses on Gulangyu as a local tourism destination and aims to analyze the effects of tourists’ perceived attractiveness on place attachment and revisit intention. Ultimately, it aims to increase local tourism and promote local tourism development by providing positive experiences to tourists visiting Gurangwi and providing implications that can induce revisit intention.
