국문 초록

본 연구는 공무활동을 수행하는 인력의 주거환경, 직무성과인식, 직무만족의 관계를 분석하기 위한 연구이다. 구체적으로, 주거환경과 직무성과인식 간 유의미한 관계가 존재하며, 그 관계에 있어 직무만족이 유의미한 매개역할을 하는지를 찾는 것이다. 이를 위해, 본 연구는 주거안정이 조직 차원의 중요한 지원정책 대상이 되는 직업군인을 분석 대상으로 하였다. 직업군인의 주거환경 지원은 단순히 개인의 주거안정성을 확보하는 것을 넘어, 공공안전을 책임지는 핵심 인력을 효과적으로 관리한다는 점에서, 정부 조직 차원의 중요한 정책적 과제이다. 그리고 이들의 주거 환경은 법 규정에 의해 대부분 강제적으로 정해지므로, 개인의 선택권이 상대적으로 제한된다는 특징을 지닌다. 이 같은 특성은 주거환경을 개인의 주관적 평가로 측정하더라도 내생성(endogeneity) 문제가 적어 실증분석 시 유리한 측면이 있다. 분석 결과, 주거환경이 성과인식과 정의 관계를 지니며, 직무만족이 주거환경과 성과인식간의 정의 관계를 매개하는 기제임을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes the relationships among residential environment, perceived job performance, and job satisfaction among personnel engaged in public service. Specifically, it examines whether there is a significant relationship between residential environment and perceived job performance, and whether job satisfaction mediates this relationship. For this purpose, the study focuses on professional military personnel, whose residential stability is a critical organizational policy concern. Residential support for military personnel is an important governmental policy task, as it extends beyond ensuring personal housing stability to effectively managing key personnel responsible for public safety. Furthermore, their residential environments are predominantly determined by legal regulations, thereby significantly limiting personal choice. This characteristic reduces potential endogeneity issues when residential environment is assessed through subjective measures, offering methodological advantages for empirical analysis. The analysis confirmed that residential environment has a positive relationship with perceived job performance and identified job satisfaction as a mechanism mediating this relationship.
