국문 초록

이 논문은 『문장』과 『춘추』의 장정에 나타난 상고주의적 지향과 그 변용 과정을 고찰했다. 『문장』 장정에서는 고전미술과 문인정신에 기반한 상고주의적 미학이 적극적으로 시각화되었으며, 『춘추』 장정에서는 전시체제의 심화에 따라 상고주의가 대동아주의적 시각질서로 변용되는 양상이 나타났다. 본 연구는 장정이라는 시각매체를 통해 식민지 시기 상고주의 담론과 시각문화의 상호작용을 분석함으로써, 근대 출판문화와 시각정치의 연관성을 밝히는 데 의의를 둔다.

영문 초록

This study examines the stylistic orientation of classicism and its transformation as expressed in the book designs of Munjang and Chunchoo. The book design of Munjang visualized an archaic aesthetic rooted in classical art and the spirit of traditional literati culture. In contrast, as Japan’s wartime regime intensified, the design of Chunchoo reflected a shift wherein classicism was subsumed into the visual order of Pan-Asianism. By analyzing book design as a visual medium, this study highlights the interplay between sanggojuui discourse and visual culture in colonial Korea and elucidates the relationship between modern print culture and visual politics.
