국문 초록

연구 목적 : 다문화적 환경 속 기독교 교양 교수들이 경험하는 수업 현상을 현상학적 접근을 통해 분석함으로서 기독교 교양 교육의 본질과 방향성을 조망하는 것이다. 연구 내용 및 방법 : 교수들이 기독교 교양 수업에서 경험하는 본질적 의미와 수업에서의 대응 방식을 조망하기 위해 5년 이상 기독교 교양 수업을 담당한 교수 3인에 심층 면담을 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 경험에 대한 순수 기술에 볼프강 쥥켈의 수업 현상학적 접근을 바탕으로 분석하고 해석했다. 결론 및 제언 : 분석 과정을 통해 파악된 기독교 교양 교수들의 수업 경험은 3개의 상위 개념이 핵심 주제로, 그리고 10개의 하위 주제로 분류되었다. 첫 번째 핵심 주제는 <학생의 삶에 영향력을 미치고자 하는 교수의 도전>이다. 이 주제에서는 ‘종교가 지닌 영향력 깨닫게 하기’와 ‘종교의 의미를 일상생활로 연결’과 ‘기독교에 대한 열린 태도’라는 하위 주제가 포함되었다. 두 번째 핵심 주제는 <학생과의 상호 소통을 통한 공동의 의미 구성>이며, ‘공감적 소통’, ‘개별적인 상담’, ‘학생의 개별 경험 존중’, ‘소통과정에 나타난 학습자 태도 변화’라는 하위 주제가 포함되었다. 마지막 핵심 주제인 <도전적 상황에서 교수의 성찰과 성장>에는 ‘반감과 무관심’, ‘교수의 반성적 태도와 변화’, ‘교육 환경 한계와 극복 노력’이라는 주제가 분류되었다. 각 주제의 핵심 내용을 요약하고 연구의 시사점과 제한점 및 향후 연구의 방향성에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Research Purpose : The purpose of this study is to examine the essence and direction of Christian liberal arts education by analyzing the classroom phenomena experienced by Christian liberal arts professors in multicultural environments through a phenomenological approach. Research Content and Method : To explore the essential meanings experienced by professors in Christian liberal arts classes and their responses within those classes, in-depth interviews were conducted with three professors who have taught Christian liberal arts courses for more than five years. The data were analyzed and interpreted based on Wolfgang Jünkel’s phenomenological approach to classroom experience, focusing on pure descriptions of the participants’ experiences. Conclusion and Suggestions : Through the analysis process, the classroom experiences of Christian liberal arts professors were categorized into three main themes and ten sub-themes. The first core theme is “The Professor’s Challenge to Influence Students’ Lives,” which includes the sub-themes of “Helping Students Recognize the Influence of Religion,” “Connecting the Meaning of Religion to Everyday Life,” and “An Open Attitude toward Christianity.” The second core theme is “Constructing Shared Meaning through Mutual Communication with Students,” with sub-themes such as “Empathetic Communication,” “Individual Counseling,” “Respect for Students’ Individual Experiences,” and “Changes in Learner Attitudes Observed in the Communication Process.” The final core theme, “Professors’ Reflection and Growth in Challenging Situations,” includes the sub-themes of “Resistance and Indifference,” “Professors’ Reflective Attitude and Change,” and “Efforts to Overcome the Limitations of the Educational Environment.” The key contents of each theme are summarized, and the implications, limitations, and future directions of the study are discussed.
