국문 초록

본 연구는 한국과 아세안 국가 간 무역량에 물류성과지수(Logistics Performance Index; LPI)가 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 중력모형(Gravity Model)을 활용한 실증 연구를 수행하였다. 연구는 2007년부터 2023년까지의 시계열 데이터를 기반으로 하며, GDP, 인구, 지리적 거리와 함께 물류성과지수를 독립 변수로 포함하였다. 분석 결과, GDP와 물류성과지수는 무역량 증가에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변수로 확인되었으며, 관세통관 효율성 및 물류 서비스 품질이 교역 증대의 주요 요인으로 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 지리적 거리는 여전히 무역량에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 중요한 장애 요인으로 분석되었다. 특히, 물류성과지수의 하위 요소별 분석을 통해 각 요소가 무역 흐름에 미치는 차별적 영향을 규명하였으며, 효율적인 물류 시스템 구축과 정시 배송 향상이 아세안 국가들의 무역 활성화를 위한 핵심 과제임을 시사하였다. 본 연구는 물류성과지수를 통해 중력모형의 한계를 보완하고, 현대 물류 환경에서 무역량에 영향을 미치는 다양한 요인을 정량적으로 분석하는 새로운 틀을 제시하였다. 이러한 결과는 아세안 국가들의 물류 역량 강화와 지속 가능한 물류 개발을 위한 정책적·산업적 방향성을 제공하며, 글로벌 공급망에서의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 실질적 전략을 제안한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the impact of the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) on trade volumes between Korea and ASEAN countries using the Gravity Model. By integrating LPI with GDP, population, and geographic distance, it seeks to identify logistics efficiency's role in trade flows and provide insights to enhance trade performance and logistics systems, addressing barriers like distance and customs efficiency. Research design, data, methodology : The study utilized the Gravity Model to assess the impact of the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) on trade volumes between Korea and ASEAN countries. Key variables included GDP, population, geographic distance, and LPI, with time-series data from 2007 to 2023. The LPI was further analyzed through its subcomponents for a detailed evaluation. Results : The results indicated that GDP and LPI are primary drivers of trade growth, with customs efficiency and logistics service quality playing critical roles. Geographic distance remains a significant barrier, while efficient logistics systems and timely delivery are essential for boosting ASEAN trade. Conclusions : By incorporating the LPI, the study enhanced the traditional Gravity Model, offering a robust framework to analyze trade determinants in modern logistics. The findings emphasize improving logistics systems and sustainability to strengthen trade competitiveness in ASEAN countries.
