국문 초록

본 연구는 철도역사시설의 공간적 구성에 대한 범죄예방환경설계(CPTED) 적용 가능성을 분석하기 위해, 「철도역사 설계기준(KR A-03021)」에서 제시하는 13개 공간 유형을 대상으로 각 공간의 설계 및 운영에서 나타나는 문제점과 우수사례를 도출하였다. 분석은 CPTED의 5대 원칙인 '자연적 감시', '접근통제', '영역성 강화', '활용성 증대', '유지관리'를 기준으로 수행되었다. 그 결과, ‘자연적 감시’는 총 5개 공간에서 시각적 개방성 확보가 중요한 요소로 나타났으며, ‘접근통제’는 3개 공간에서 물리적 및 기술적 제한의 필요성이 확인되었다. ‘영역성 강화’는 2개 공간에서 명확한 공간 경계 설정이 요구되었고, ‘활용성 증대’ 및 ‘유지관리’ 항목은 각각 5개 공간에서 간접적 감시 효과 유지를 통해 예방적 유지보수와 안전성 확보가 핵심 요소로 분석되었다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes challenges and best practices in the design and operation of railway station facilities by applying the five core principles of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) — natural surveillance, access control, territorial reinforcement, activity support, and maintenance — to 13 spatial types defined in the Railway Station Design Standards (KR A-03021). The analysis revealed that natural surveillance was particularly critical in five spatial types, where ensuring visual openness played a key role. Access control was found to be necessary in three areas, requiring both physical and technological restrictions. Territorial reinforcement was needed in two spaces, emphasizing the importance of clearly defined spatial boundaries. In terms of activity support and maintenance, five spatial types each showed a high relevance, underscoring the importance of sustaining indirect surveillance and securing safety through preventive maintenance.
