아타나시우스와 칼빈의 신학 방법론의 연관성에 관한 연구: 창조주 하나님에 대한 지식을 중심으로

국문 초록

일반적으로 칼빈은 어거스틴의 영향만 받았다고 생각된다. 그러나 동서양을 막론하고 정통 교부로 알려진 아타나시우스는 기독교 신학에 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 겉으로 드러나지는 않았지만, 아타나시우스의 이해는 칼빈에게 내재되어 있다. 첫째, 가장 중요한 것은 아타나시우스와 칼빈은 하나님에 대한 지식과 인간에 대한 지식의 관계에 대한 이해가 같다는 것이다. 칼빈의 ‘Cognitio Dei’와 ‘Cognitio sui’에 대한 관계는 분명히 비슷하다. 처음에는 하나님께서 우리에게 하나님을 알 수 있는 지식을 주셨지만, 타락으로 인해 올바른 지식을 가질 수 없게 되었고 오직 성경과 그리스도를 통해서만 하나님에 대한 참된 지식을 얻을 수 있다. 둘째, 인간의 죄와 우상에 대한 그의 이해도 같은 입장이다. 죄는 ‘인간의 욕망’ 이고 우상은 이 욕망이 다른 것으로 실현된 것이다. 본래 인간은 참된 형상인 그리스도의 형상으로 창조되었고 오직 하나님만을 섬기고 영광을 돌리도록 되어 있었다. 그러나 그들은 아름다운 본성을 잃고 비참한 상태에 빠져 자신의 욕망을 따라갔다. 셋째, 성부, 성자, 성령, 즉 삼일 하나님은 창조주이시며, 그는 온 땅과 모든 것을‘무’(無)에서 창조하셨다. 모든 피조물은 하나님의 선하심에 근거하여 창조되었다. 선하신 하나님의 선한 로고스인 그리스도도 창조주이시다. 그러므로 창조주는 삼일 하나님이시다. 결론적으로 아타나시우스의 신학적 방법론이 칼빈에게 보존되고 유지되었음을분명히 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

Although it is not externally revealed, Athanasius’ understanding is inherent in Calvin. First, most importantly, Athanasius and Calvin have the same understanding of the relationship between the knowledge of God and human knowledge. Calvin's understanding of Cognitio Dei and Cognitio sui is clearly similar. Initially, God gave us the knowledge to know God, but due to the fall, we could not have the true knowledge, and only through the Bible and Christ can we attain the true knowledge of God. Second, for them the understanding of human sin and Idolatry is also in the same position. Sin is ‘human desire’, and Idolatry are the realization of human desire in something else. Originally, humans were created in the image of Christ, the true image, and were supposed to serve and glorify only God. However, they lost their beautiful nature and ended up in misery, following their own desires. Third, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, that is Triune God is the Creator and He created the whole earth and all things from ‘nothing’. All creatures were created based on the goodness of God. Christ, the good Logos of the good God is also the Creator. Therefore, the Creator is the Triune God. In conclusion, it can be clearly seen that Athanasius’ theological methodology was preserved and maintained in Calvin.
