이슈리더십 연구동향과 향후 연구과제

국문 초록

본 연구는 이슈리더십에 대한 연구동향과 향후 연구과제를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구를 위해 이슈리더십 관련 국내 학술지에 게재된 연구 논문 43편을 대상으로 연구동향을 분석하였다. 우선적으로 분석 대상 논문의 발표 시기, 게재된 학술지 및 연구표본의 특성 등 일반현황을 분석하였다. 다음으로 연구방법론에 대하여 연구의 유형, 자료수집 방법, 측정도구, 측정도구의 신뢰성 및 타당성 검증 방법 등을 분석하였다. 끝으로 분석대상 논문의 연구모형을 결과변수검증 연구와 선행변수 검증 연구로 분류하여, 이슈리더십이 결과에 미치는 영향과 이슈리더십과변수 간 영향 등을 분석하고 연구모형 간 차이점을 제시하였다. 이에 대해서 살펴보면, 이슈리더십은 2000년부터 실증연구가 시작되어 최근까지 매년 2~5건의 실증연구가 진행되고 있다. 대부분의 연구에서 이슈리더십을 독립변수로 활용하여 이슈리더십와 결과변수 간 인과관계를 규명하고자 하였다. 선행변수로는 자기효능감, 적응적긴장, 과업의 상호의존성 등을 고려하여 연구되고있으며, 결과변수는 직무만족, 조직성과, 조직시민행동 등과 같은 변수들이 고려되어 연구되었다. 이슈리더십과 결과변수 간의 매개효과 검증은 팔로워십, 임파워먼트, 조직후원인식 등과 같은 변수들이 고려되어 연구되었으며, 조절변수 검증은 과업환경, 상사 지원, CEO역량 등과 같은 변수들이 고려되어 연구되었다. 본 연구는 이슈리더십 관련 국내 문헌 고찰을 통해 그간 이슈리더십에 대한 연구 성과들을 종합적으로 분석하고 논의함으로써 이슈리더십 연구의 전반적인 흐름뿐만 아니라 향후 연구 방향을 제시했다는 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 분석대상 논문의 연구 한계와향후 추가 연구를 위한 연구과제를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to present research trends and future research questions on issue leadership. For this study, 43 research articles on issue leadership published journals in korea were analysed for research trends. First, we analysed the general status of the articles, including when they were published, the journals in which they were published, and the characteristics of the research sample. Next, we analysed the research methodology, including the type of research, data collection method, measurement tools, and reliability and validity verification methods. Finally, we classified the research models of the analysed papers into outcome variable verification research and antecedent variable verification research, analysed the impact of issue leadership on outcomes and the impact between issue leadership and variables, and presented the differences between the research models. In this regard, empirical research on issue leadership has been conducted since 2000, and until recently, two to five empirical studies were conducted each year. Most studies have used issue leadership as an independent variable to identify the causal relationship between issue leadership and outcome variables. Self-efficacy, adaptive strain, and task interdependence have been considered as antecedents, and variables such as job satisfaction, organisational performance, and organisational citizenship behaviour have been studied as outcome variables. The mediation effect between issue leadership and outcome variables was studied by considering variables such as followership, empowerment, and organisational sponsorship perceptions, and the moderator variable was studied by considering variables such as task environment, supervisor support, and CEO competence. The significance of this study is that by comprehensively analysing and discussing the research achievements on issue leadership through a review of the domestic literature on issue leadership, this study not only provided the overall flow of issue leadership research but also suggested future research directions. Finally, the research limitations of the analysed papers and research issues for further research were presented.
