적소이론을 기반으로 자원봉사활동 간 경쟁 관계 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 자원봉사 유형 간 경쟁 관계를 분석하는 목적을 가진다. 사회 안에서 대부분 조직과프로그램은 한정된 자원을 두고 갈등하고 경쟁한다. 이 관점 하에서 자원봉사자를 자원 그리고자원봉사 유형을 경쟁하는 개체로 두고 분석을 시도했다. 개체 간 경쟁 관계를 적소이론을 이용하여 분석하였고, 자료는 2022년 도시정책지표조사에서 자원봉사 결과를 이용하였다. 적소 폭 결과에서 사회적 약자에 대한 자원봉사가 가장 큰 적소 폭, 즉 다양한 연령대가 참가하는 일반성을보였다. 반면 자녀교육 관련 자원봉사는 30, 40대가 주로 참여하였고, 상대적으로 적은 적소 폭을보였다. 유형 간 경쟁인 적소 중복은 사회적 약자와 재난재해 봉사 사이에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 적소 우위에서는 환경보호 활동이 다른 유형에 비해 높은 우위를 반대로 자녀교육 봉사는 가장낮은 우위를 보였다. 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 자원봉사 간 연계를 강화하는 사전 연계 봉사활동프로그램 개발을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the competitive relationships between different types of volunteering. Within society, most organizations and programs conflict and compete over limited resources. From this perspective, the analysis treats volunteers as resources and types of volunteering as competing entities. The relationships of competition between entities were analyzed using niche theory, and the data were derived from the 2022 Urban Policy Indicator Survey on volunteer outcomes. The results of niche breadth showed that volunteering for the socially disadvantaged had the largest niche breadth, indicating generality across various age groups. In contrast, volunteering related to child education primarily involved participants in their 30s and 40s and showed a relatively smaller niche breadth. Niche overlap, indicating competition between types, was highest between services for the socially disadvantaged and disaster relief. In terms of niche superiority, environmental protection activities showed a higher advantage over other types, whereas child education volunteering showed the lowest. Based on these results, this study proposes the development of pre-linkage volunteer activity programs to strengthen connections between different types of volunteering.
