유럽 국가들 간 무역 네트워크 영향력과 핵심-주변 분석을 통한 국가 충격의 전염효과에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 수출과 수입에 대한 유럽 역내 국가들 간 무역 네트워크를 사회 네트워크 관점에서 구축 및 영향력을 분석하고, 이 영향력 지표와 함께 무역 네트워크에서 등위성 분석을 통해 핵심 및 주변 국가를 파악하였다. 무역 네트워크의 영향력 분석은 네트워크 중심성(centrality), 중요도(Importance), 최대흐름분석으로 하였다. 유럽 역내 국가들의 수입 수출의 역할에 따라 국가들을 분류하기 위해서 네트워크 등위성 분석을 하였다. 마지막으로 네트워크 영향력 분석과 등위성 분석을 결합하여 핵심-주변 국가 분석을 통해 핵심, 준 주변, 주변 국가로 분류하여 한 국가의 충격에 대한 전염효과의 높고 낮음을 파악하였다. 이 연구의 방법으로는 유럽 금융위기의 진원지인 유럽 국가들의 수입과 수출을 기반으로 방향과 가중치가 있는 무역 네트워크를 구축하고, 사회 네트워크 분석 지표를 기반으로 무역 네트워크의 중심성, 연결성, 중요도를 분석한 후, 국가 중요도 지표와 무역 네트워크 구조적 등위성 분석과 연결하여 핵심-주변 국가 분석을 한다. 또한 무역 네트워크를 통한 유럽 금융 혹은 재정 위기가 다른 국가들로의 확산 및 영향 정도를 거시적으로 파악하고자 한다. 네트워크 분석 접근법에서 국가를 노드(행위자)로 표현하고, 국가들간 무역관계를 링크(연결)로 표현하여 분석한 네트워크 지표들은 최근에 중력모델(Gravity Model)과 함께 세계무역 유형이나 발전을 설명하는데 유용하게 사용되고 있다(Krempel and Pluemper, 1999, 2003). 세계무역 시스템을 복잡한 네트워크(complex network)로 정의한 처음 연구는 계층적 구조임을 성공적으로 밝혔지만(Serrano and Boguna, 2003; Garlaschelli and Loffredo, 2004, 2005), 이들의 연구는 서로 다른 쌍방 무역관계의 규모나 불균형에서 이질성과 같은 근본적인 요소들을 고려하지 않은 물리학 관점에서 위상학적 측면에 중점을 두고 있다. 지금까지 연구와 다른 방향의 최근 연구는 Kali와 Reyes(2010)의 국제무역 네트워크 상의 금융 위기의 전염(contagion) 효과이다. 이 연구는 국가 간 연결성(connectedness)을 네트워크 기반 지표들을 사용하여 1990년대의 금융 위기 동안 주식 시장 수익률을 설명하였다. 또 금융위기의 진원지인 국가가 무역 네트워크로 강하게 연결되어 있을수록 위기는 높은 전염성을 보이고 있고, 또 금융위기가 전염된 국가들은 무역 네트워크로 강하게 연결된 나라들에 확산시킬 수 있음을 보여주고 있다. 따라서 국가들이 무역을 통해 연결되어 있기 때문에 한 국가에서 발생한 위기는 네트워크의 연결 유형에 따라 전염이 될 수 있고 증폭될 수 있다. 따라서 네트워크의 연결이 조밀할수록, 충격을 증폭 혹은 감쇄시킬 수 있는 상호 종속적인 파급 효과에 대한 잠재성이 더 커진다(Kali and Reyes, 2010). 이 전염효과는 특정국가에서 발생한 금융이나 재정위기가 실물(무역) 부문이나 금융부문에서 상호의존도가 높은 다른 국가로 전파되는 것을 의미한다. 본 연구의 방법과 내용은 크게 세 단계로 나누어 수행한다. 첫 번째는 유럽 역내 국가들간 수출 및 수입 네트워크 구축 및 분석이다. 두 번째 단계는 무역 네트워크 지표를 이용하여 국가의 중심성, 중요도, 구조적 등위성을 분석하는 것이다. 이 분석은 금융 위기의 충격에 있는 국가가 무역 네트워크 상에서 다른 국가로의 전염 가능성을 시사해 주는 바를 밝혀준다. 마지막 세 번째는 중요도와 등위성 분석을 기반으로 핵심-주변 국가 분석을 통해 수출과 수입의 주요 무역 파트너들의 역할을 파악하는 것이다. 본 연구는 UN Comtrade에서 유럽 42개 국가들의 2009년도 수출과 수입 자료를 활용하여, 국가간 무역 매트릭스를 구축하고, 이 무역 매트릭스 데이터를 기반으로 사회 네트워크 분석의 전문 소프트웨인 Netminer 4.0을 활용하여 수출과 수입 무역 네트워크들을 구축 하였다. 이 네트워크에서 원은 노드로서 유럽 내 국가들을, 선은 국가들 간 무역 흐름을 나타낸다. 원과 선의 크기는 각각 중심성 크기 정도와 무역 규모를 나타내고 있다. 이 무역 네트워크는 사회 네트워크 분석 지표들을 활용하여 네트워크의 위상학적(topological) 특성 파악을 위해 무역 네트워크의 중심성, 중요도, 최대흐름도분석, 구조적 등위성을 분석한다. 네트워크 중심성 분석은 수출과 수입 네트워크에서 어떤 국가가 가장 관련이 있는지를 보여준다. 네트워크 연결성 분석은 서로 연결된 네트워크에서 노드 간 영향력, 종속성, 흐름 그리고 노드 간 연결 성향을 나타낸다. 네트워크의 구조적 등위성 분석은 수출과 수입 네트워크에서 국가들의 군집을 핵심과 주변 국가로 파악하는 것이다. 유럽 국가들간 수출과 수입 무역 네트워크의 영향력 분석에서 우선 중심성 분석 결과는 수출과 수입 무역 네트워크에서 약간 상이하게 나타나 국가의 전문성을 볼 수가 있었다. 수출(수입)은 내향(외향) 연결정도 중심성에 중점을 두고 분석한 결과 가장 높은 국가는 Germany, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Russia(Germany, Russia, Italy, France, United Kingdom) 순으로 나타났다. 수출과 수입에서 Germany가 가장 큰 역할을 하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 수출 무역 네트워크에서 아이겐벡터 중심성은 Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, United Kingdom 순으로 나타났으며, 수입 무역 네트워크에서는 Germany, Russia, Italy, France, Netherlands 순으로 나타났다. 아이겐벡터 중심성 역시 Germany이 유럽 역내서 차지하는 중심성이 아주 높음을 알 수 있다. 다음은 중요도 분석으로 수출과 수입 무역 네트워크가 유사하게 나타나고 있는데, Germany, France, Netherlands순으로 중요도를 보여 주고 있음을 볼 수 있었다. 현재 금융 혹은 재정적으로 위기를 겪고 있는 국가들의 충격의 전염 가능성 정도를 파악하기 위해 무역 네트워크의 최대흐름분석을 하였다. Italy, Spain, Greece의 국가 위기는 전염 가능성이 높고, Portugal이나 Serbia의 위기는 전염 가능성이 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 중요도 분석과 규범적 등위성 분석에 의한 핵심-주변 분석은 핵심, 준 주변, 주변 국가로 분류하였다. 핵심 국가에 속한 Germany France, Netherlands의 유럽 내에서 수출과 수입에서 중요한 역할을 차지한다고 볼 수 있다. 무역 네트워크의 핵심-주변 분석으로 볼 때, 주변국가에 있는 국가의 충격의 전염효과와 1차 준 주변국가에 있는 국가의 충격의 전염효과는 다름을 보여준다. Greece나 Ukraine의 충격의 전염효과보다는 Spain이나 Italy의 충격의 전염효과가 크다고 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study builds and analyzes intra-trade network of export and import among European countries in social network perspective. Core-periphery of european countries is analyzed with influence and regular equivalence analysis of the trade network. The influence is analyzed with network centrality, importance, and maximum flow. The role of the export earnings of Europe within the country in order to classify them according to the satellite network, and so were the analysis. Finally, the analysis of the satellite network, such as the analysis of the influence of combined core-core analysis, around the country, and around the nation by classifying and gave around the country against infectious effect high and low grip. This research is the epicenter of the financial crisis the European way of European countries based on the orientation of the import and export trade, and to build up a network with a weight of social network analysis based on the trade network of gender indicators, connectivity, after analyzing the importance of national importance, such as structural indicators and trade networks, satellite analysis and Association analysis of the core-periphery countries. Also, the financial crisis through European financial or trading network by other Nations to understand the broad degree of spread and impact. Network analysis approach in the country represented by a node (an actor), and the United States trade relations link (link) to the analysis of networks indicators recently gravity models (Gravity Model) described the developed world trade type or with a useful (Krempel amp; Pluemper, 1999, 2003). The world trade system for complex networks (complex network) is defined for the initial research indicates that a hierarchical structure, and successfully balghyeossjiman (Serrano Boguna, 2003; Garlaschelli and Loffredo, 2004, 2005), their research is different from either of the parties, such as the size or imbalance in trade relations serves do not take into account the fundamental elements of physics, with an emphasis on biological aspects in terms of phase. Also the epicenter of the financial crisis, the country is strongly linked with trade networks which are more crisis seems high, another financial crisis spread to inspire the Nations trade network strongly associated countries are showing that it can be spread. Therefore, countries are connected through trade, and countries in crisis, because the network is transmitted on the connection type, and can be amplified. Therefore, the more dense the network connection, which can be shocking to the amplification or attenuation a dependent with a bigger potential for a ripple effect (Kali amp; Reyes, 2010). This contagious effects in a given country to finance the financial crises have occurred or in the financial sector (trade) or the real interdependence means that are propagated to other countries is higher. This study is divided into three stages of methods and information. The first is the United Nations European regional network-building and analysis of export and import. The second step is the Trade Center of the country the network indicator, such as a satellite analysis of the structural importance. This analysis is the financial impact of the crisis on the country's trade network possibilities spread to other countries, which turned out to be the bar. The last third is a key priority and based on analysis, including satellite-close to the main trade of the exporting and importing countries, through analysis of the partners' role is to figure out.
