국문 초록

립먼의 어린이 철학(PfC)은 사고의 철학이자 사고를 가르치는 페다고지로서 그 핵심은 '사고'에 있다. 립먼은 듀이처럼 반성적 사고를 중시하였지만. 그는 반성적 측면뿐 아니라 배려적, 비판적, 창조적 차원으로 분화시켜 듀이의 사고 개념을 확장했다. PfC 철학은 상호작용과 탐구를 중시하고, 보증된 주장과 맥락적 합당성을 강조하며, 윤리적 탐구에서도 듀이 철학과 유사성을 보인다. 따라서 PfC 철학을 휴머니즘이라고 규정하는 비에스타의 비판은 적실성이 없다. 오히려 PfC의 철학은 포스트휴머니즘과 양립 가능한 측면도 적지 않다. 끝으로 PfC 페다고지는 PfC의 철학과 밀접하게 연결되어 있다. 다만, 페다고지 차원에서 PfC는 페다고지의 속성상 교사와 실천가의 역할에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 결국, PfC 페다고지가 PfC 철학의 지평 속에서 현실 속에서 탐구되고 검증되는 맥락적 실천 이론으로서 충분한 역할을 하고 있는지가 중요한 질문이다.

영문 초록

The Lipman’s Philosophy for Children (PfC) is a philosophy of thinking and a pedagogy that teaches thinking, and its core lies in ‘thinking’. Like Dewey, Lipman placed emphasis on reflective thinking, but he expanded Dewey's concept of thinking by differentiating thinking into not only the reflective aspect but also the considerate, critical, and creative dimensions. PfC philosophy emphasizes interaction and inquiry, emphasizes warranted claims and contextual justification, and shows similarities to Dewey philosophy in ethical inquiry. Therefore, Biesta’s critique of PfC as a form of humanism lacks relevance. In fact, PfC’s philosophy has aspects that are compatible with post-humanism. Finally, the pedagogy of PfC is closely connected to its philosophy. However, in terms of pedagogy, PfC can vary depending on the roles of teachers and practitioners due to the nature of pedagogy itself. Ultimately, the key question is whether PfC pedagogy functions effectively as a contextual practice theory, thoroughly explored and validated in the real world, within the broader horizon of PfC philosophy.
