생태학적 공존을 위한 정치신학의 인식론적 기반에 관한 연구

국문 초록

기후 위기로 대표되는 생태 위기 시대에 직면한 현대인들은 생존을 위협받으며 살아가고 있으며, 극도의 산업화는 이를 악화시키고 있다. 18세기 중반부터 무분별하게 진행된 산업화는 석유와 석탄 같은 탄소 에너지에 의존하는 사회를 형성하였고 지구온난화와 기후 위기라는 부정적인 결과를 낳았다. 하지만 생태 위기로 인한 재난이 현실화하기까지 교회는 산업 사회의 문제를 제대로 파악하지 못한 채 산업화의 촉진에 적극 동조했다. 과거의 잘못을 피하고자 오늘날의 교회는 극단적인 산업화의 문제를 비판하고 그리스도인이 생태학적 공존을 위해 노력할 수 있도록 이끌어야 한다. 본 연구는 이 목적을 위한 첫 단계로서 생태학적 공존을 위한 정치신학의 인식론적 기반에 집중한다. 생태학적 공존을 위한 정치신학은 인식론적인 측면에서 산업 사회의 다음과 같은 문제들을 비판한다. 첫째, 자연에 대한 억압을 정당화하는 인간 중심적인 세계관과 그 기초로서 이분법적 이원론의 문제이다. 둘째, 개발 이데올로기에 종속된 소비주의와 번영의 가치체계 문제이다. 셋째, 경제적 이기주의로 전락한 개인주의 가치체계의 문제이다. 이를 해결하기 위해 정치신학은 생태학적 공존을 위한 새로운 인식론을 정립해야 하기에, 본 연구는 다음의 가치체계에 집중한다. 첫째, 땅의 주인으로서 하나님을 인정하는 가치체계이며, 둘째, 존재와 번영에 대한 모든 생명체의 동등한 권리를 인정하는 가치체계이며, 셋째, 자연을 생태 위기의 극복을 위한 상호협력의 주체로 인정하는 가치체계이다. 본 연구의 영역은 생태학적 공존을 위한 정치신학의 인식론적 접근으로 제한한다. 왜냐하면, 현장에서 필요한 구체적인 정책을 위한 심층 자료로 계획된 것이기 때문이다. 이를 통해 그리스도인은 생태학적 공존을 실현할 수 있는 정책의 필요성을 구체적으로 인식할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 극도의 산업화 속 인간들 사이의 억압과 착취를 정치신학의 관점에서 접근하려는 연구자들에게도 기초적인 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

Modern people, facing an era of ecological crisis represented by the climate crisis, are living with their survival threatened, and extreme industrialization is making this worse. Industrialization, which has progressed indiscriminately since the mid-18th century, has formed a society that relies on carbon energy such as oil and coal, resulting in negative consequences of global warming and the climate crisis. However, until the disaster caused by the ecological crisis became a reality, the church actively supported the promotion of industrialization without properly understanding the problems of a industrial society. In order to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past, today’s church must criticize the problems of extreme industrialization and lead Christians to strive for ecological coexistence. As a first step toward this goal, this study focuses on the epistemological foundation of political theology for ecological coexistence. Political theology for ecological coexistence criticizes the following problems of a industrial society from an epistemological point of view. First, it is a problem of an anthropocentric worldview that justifies the oppression of nature and dichotomous dualism as its foundation. Second, it is a problem of the value system of consumerism and prosperity subordinated to development ideology. Third, it is a problem of the individualistic value system that has degenerated into economic egoism. To solve these problems, political theology must establish a new epistemology suitable for ecological coexistence, so this study focuses on the following value system. First, it is a value system that recognizes God as the owner of the land, and second, it is a value system that recognizes the equal rights of all living things to existence and prosperity, and third, it is a value system that recognizes the nature as an subject of co-operations to overcome the ecological crisis. The scope of this study is limited to the epistemological approach of political theology for ecological coexistence. This is because it is planned as in-depth data for specific policies needed in the field. Through this, Christians will be able to recognize the need for policies that can realize ecological coexistence in detail. It is also expected to be of basic help to researchers who want to approach the oppression and exploitation among humans in extreme industrialization from the point of view of political theology.
