국문 초록

본 연구는 교육부의 고교학점제 선도지구 공동 교육과정 추진 과제로 2022년 순천 선도지구 지역특화 공동 교육과정 ‘생태와 환경’ 개발 및 운영을 분석한 실행 연구이다. 순천 선도지구 지역특화 공동 교육과정 운영을 위한 지역협의체 기능, 교육과정 개발, 성취 기준 수립 및 세부 내용 구성, 수업 및 평가 방법 등 교육과정 운영 전반의 특징을 분석하여 제시하였다. ‘생태와 환경’은 범세계적 환경문제인 기후변화에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 지역의 가장 중요한 생태자원인 순천만 습지를 활용한 문제 중심 또는 프로젝트 중심 학습을 기반으로 운영되는 지역특화 교육과정이다. ‘생태와 환경’ 운영에 대한 학생들의 종합만족도는 5점 만점에 4.67점으로 매우 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 세부 내용 분석 결과 학생들의 환경인식(4.08점→4.81점), 환경지식(3.17점→4.50점), 환경태도(4.07점→4.61점), 환경관심(3.85점→4.68점) 모두 교육 전에 비하여 교육 후에 통계적으로 유의미하게 상승하여 교육효과가 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 본 연구는 교육과정 개발 단계부터 운영이 종료될 때까지 교육과정 운영 전반에 참여한 교사, 교육청 장학사, 교육연구사 등 전문가 4인의 FGI(Focus Group Interview) 내용 분석을 통해 고교학점제 선도지구 지역특화 공동 교육과정 운영의 질적 제고를 위한 개선 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study is an implementation one that analyzed the development and operation of the 2022 high school credit system Suncheon leading district region-specific joint curriculum, ‘Ecology and Environment,’ by the Ministry of Education’s high school credit system leading district joint curriculum promotion task. We analyzed and presented the characteristics of the overall curriculum operation, including the function of the regional cooperative body for the operation of the region-specific joint curriculum in Suncheon leading district, the development process of the region-specific curriculum, establishment of achievement standards and composition of detailed contents, and class and evaluation methods. The region-specific curriculum ‘Ecology and Environment’ focuses on climate change, a global environmental issue, and is primarily operated based on a problem- or project-based learning that utilizes the Suncheon Bay Wetland, the region’s most significant ecological resource. We found that students’ overall satisfaction after class was very high at 4.67 points out of 5. As a result of detailed analysis using the Likert scale, changes in students’ environmental awareness, environmental knowledge, environmental attitude, and environmental interest increased from 4.08, 3.17, 4.07, and 3.85 points before class to 4.81, 4.50, 4.61, and 4.68 after class, respectively, suggesting that the educational effect was very high. This study also presents the qualitative improvements for the operation of the region-specific joint curriculum in the high school credit system leading district through content analysis of FGI (Focus Group Interview) of four experts, including teachers, school inspectors at the Office of Education, and an educational researcher, who participated in the overall curriculum operation from the curriculum development stage to completion of its operation.
