국문 초록

인지언어학은 언어의 의미를 세상에 대한 인간의 주관적 해석으로 간주한다. 인간은 몸을 통해 세상과 소통하기에 그 관점은 자기중심적이며 언어에도 반영된다. 그러므로 단어의 의미체계를 분석해보면 언어에 반영된 인간의 독특한 사고방식을 도출해낼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 몽골어 공간어 “дээр”의 공간적 의미의 특성을 연구하여 그 중심 의미, 그리고 인지의미론 중 Zlatev (2007)의 공간의미론 중 탄도체, 지표, 참조틀, 이동, 경로, 방향 개념들을 토대로 한 도식을 정의한다. 참조틀 선택에 따라 “дээр”는 공간적으로 두 사물 사이의 높이 수준 또는 한 사물 내부에서의 특정 지점을 나타내며, 이러한 도식적 특성으로 인하여 활동적이거나 방향성 있는 이동 장면이 아닌 정적인 장면을 표현한다.

영문 초록

Cognitive linguistics regards the meaning of language as humans' subjective interpretation of the world. As men communicate with the world through their bodies, their views are self-centered. Those views are reflected in languages. Therefore, it is possible to reveal the unique way of thinking reflected in a language by analyzing the semantic system related to words. This research examines some spatial semantic characteristics of the spatial term “дээр” in the Mongolian language. For this, the study determines its fundamental meanings and schemas related to them based on the basic concepts of spatial semantics of Zlatev (2007) among the cognitive semantics. According to the frame of reference, the word “дээр” spatially indicates a level of height between two things and certain location on a thing. Due to these schematic characteristics, this word does not indicate active or directional motions but static situations.
