모래놀이 활동에 참가하는 ADHD 성향 아동들의 긍정적 변화 탐색

국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 ADHD 성향 아동의 모래놀이 활동에 참가하는 태도와 특성을 알아보고, 모래놀이 활동에 참가한 후 어떠한 변화가 있는지 알아보고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 연구에 참여한 ADHD 성향의 아동 중 연구 목적에 동의하고 중도탈락하지 않은 아동 6명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 ADHD RS-IV를 실시하였고, 아동별로 12∼16회기 동안 주제별 모래놀이 활동을 Kalff(1966)가 제시한 방법에 따라 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 Giorgi 현상학적 분석방법에 따라 ‘전체적 인식, 의미단위 구분, 의미단위의 학문적 용어로의 변형, 통합과 재구성에 의한 구조 결정’ 등의 4가지 단계로 분석하였다. 자료의 진실성을 확보하기 위하여 삼각검증(triangulation), 구성원 검토(member checks), 전문가 조언(peer debriefing)을 실시하였고, 청소년상담원 3명을 연구 제보자로 선정하여 연구 참여자들의 특성과 변화에 대한 의견을 수렴하였다. 연구결과: 연구 결과, 놀이와 상담자에 대한 부정적 태도를 나타낸 연구 참여자들은 모래놀이 활동에 참여하면서 내용 및 제목선정, 소품 활용, 공간 구성 등에 있어서 체계성, 상호의존성, 신중성, 적합성, 질서 등의 놀이 특성이 나타났고, 이후 놀이와 상담자에 대한 긍정적 태도 변화, 일상생활 및 대인관계의 긍정적 변화가 나타났다. 결론: 이상의 결과를 선행연구와 비교하고 ADHD 성향 아동의 모래놀이 참여과정을 살펴본 결과 연구참여자들의 부정적 태도에서 긍정적 태도로 변화할 수 있는 가능성을 알아볼 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The first purpose of this study was to investigate the participation attitudes and characteristics from children with ADHD participating in the sand play activities. The second purpose of 솓 study was to find out how they were changed after the sand play activity. Method: 6 children with agreement and not dropping out during this research were selected as participants for the study. They also have been examined with the ADHD RS-IV. Each child has completed the sand play activity with a subject matter for 12 through 16 times through a method suggested by Kalff(1966)'s previous studies. The collected data have been analyzed with the 4 steps, 'the overall awareness, a classification of semantic unit, changes to an academic term of the semantic unit and a decision of its structure by integration and reconfiguration', by using Giorgi's phenomenological approach. Triangulation, member checks, and peer debriefing have been used for the trustworthiness. 3 youths participated in the study as an counselor to collect data on the characteristics and changes of research participants. Results and Conclusion: The results were as follows. First, the participants with the negative attitudes on the sand play activity and counselors showed about the play characteristics such as systematic feature, interdependence, prudence, suitability and regulation in contents and title choice, props utilization, and construction of space, etc after participating in the sand play activity. Second, the positive changes on attitudes, a daily life, and interpersonal relation about the sand play activity and counselors have been showed.
