국문 초록

목적：본고는 메타언어적 효능감을 개념화하고, 그것을 구성하는 요인을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법：메타언어적 효능감은 일종의 쓰기 효능감으로서 텍스트를 반성하고 조작하는 능력에 대한 신념을 말한다. 메타언어적 능력은 언어 층위에 따라 메타음운/형태론적 능력, 메타통사론적 능력, 메타의미론적 능력, 메타텍스트적 능력, 메타화용론적 능력으로 구분할 수 있다. 이러한 다섯 가지 하위 영역에 대한 문항을 바탕으로 탐색적 요인 분석을 실시하여 메타언어적 효능감을 구성하는 요인을 찾고, 확인적 요인 분석을 통해 구인의 적절성을 확인하였다. 결과：요인 분석 결과 메타언어적 효능감의 3요인 구조 모형을 확인하였다. 3요인은 독자의 이해를 돕고 독자의 지식 수준 및 흥미를 고려하는 것과 관련된 독자 지향 메타언어적 효능감, 필자의 의도를 충분히 드러내고 필자의 생각을 응집성 있게 표현하는 것과 관련된 필자 지향 메타언어적 효능감, 맞춤법과 문장의 호응 등 문법 규칙에 맞는 언어를 생산하는 것과 관련된 텍스트 지향 메타언어적 효능감이다. 결론：세 요인을 중심으로 메타언어적 능력을 신장할 수 있는 쓰기 교육 내용 및 방법이 마련될 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

Purpose：The purpose of this paper is to conceptualize metalinguistic efficacy and to identify the factors that constitute it. Methods：Metalinguistic efficacy refers to a belief in the ability to reflect and manipulate text as a kind of writing efficacy. Metalinguistic ability can be classified into metaphonological/ morphological ability, metasyntactic ability, metasemantic capacity, metatextual capacity, and metapragmatic capacity along the language layer. Based on the questions on these five sub-domains, exploratory factor analysis was conducted to find out the factors that constitute the metalinguistic efficacy and confirm the appropriateness of the questionnaire through confirmatory factor analysis. Results：As a result of the factor analysis, we confirmed the three factor structure model of metalinguistic efficacy. The three factors are reader-directed metalinguistic efficacy, writer-directed metalinguistic efficacy, And text-directed metalinguistic efficacy. Conclusion：The content and method of writing education that can enhance the meta-linguistic efficacy of students need to be prepared based on three factors.
