정부인 순창설씨에 관한 연구사 검토 및 그 과제

국문 초록

조선（朝鮮）의 여류 서화계（書晝界）에 있어 처음을 장식하는 분은 정부인 순 창설씨（淳昌薛氏，1429가503）이 다. 서（書），화（晝）뿐만이 아니라 문（文）에도 뛰어 났던 순창설씨는，그간의 많은 연구와 정부인 순창설씨를 대상으로 한 학회 등 이 열리는 등 많은 성과가 있었다. 그 런 데도 최근에 발간된 몇 권의 전문 서적에는 정부인 순창설씨가 누락되 어 있다. 이에 그간의 연구 성과를 검토하고 연구의 쟁점과 앞으로의 과제를 점거하여보았다. 그간의 연구를 살펴보면，정부인 순창설씨에 관한 연구는 발굴기，성장기，성 숙기로 구분할 수 있었다. 발굴기는 비교적 긴 시간인 1930년대부터 1980년대 까 지인데，그만큼 인식의 확대나 보편화가 이루어지지 못했던 시기이다. 193 4 년 정인보（鄭貢普，1892~1950）가 호남 지방을 유람하며「남유기신（南遊寄信）」 을 『동아일보』에 연재한 이후로 최익한（崔益翰，1897~?），김영윤（金榮胤），김기승의 연구와 저작물에 실리기도 하였으나，이후로 별다른 1980년대까지 별다른 연구 가 없었다. 1990년대의 성장기에는 김호년，양만정，이강오，안영배，최실광，국효문 등에 의하여 이전보다 체계적이고 구체적인 연구가 진행되었을 뿐만 아니라，1996년 ‘정부인 순창설씨의 문학과 예술’이란 주제로 첫 번째 학술대회가 열리기도 하 였다. 여기에는 송준호（宋俊浩），이강오，이가원（李家源，1917~2000），강경훈（姜 景勳） 등이 참여하였다. 2000년대의 성숙기에는 이전보다 연구가 심화되고 전문화되는 경향을 나타 내었는데，이원복，권시숙，정예진，곽노봉，김슬옹，이기범의 연구와 저서가 있 었다. 그간의 연구에 있어서 쟁점이 될 만한 것으로，<광덕산부도암도>의 화풍의 문 제，<십노계첩>에 실린 <십노계첩도>의 문제，서예 부분에서 과제와 정부인 순창설씨 예술혼의 전승 부분까지를 살펴보았다.

영문 초록

In Joseon, Lady Jeong from the Seol family of Sunchang( 1429~1503) marked the beginning of female artists in paintings and calligraphic works. Excelling in literature as well as calligraphy and paintings, she has been subjected to an abundance of research. There have been also many achievements in the study of the artist and her works including society meetings on her. Several technical books published recently, however, omit her. This study thus set out to review research results so far and examine research controversies and future tasks in the study of her and her works. Previous studies on her are categorized according to the discovery, growth, and intensification periods. The discovery period lasted relatively long from the 1930s to the 1980s, which indicates that it was hardly possible to spread or generalize perceptions during those years. In 1934, Jeong In-bo(1892〜1950) covered her works in his serial Namyugisin based on his sightseeing around the Honam region in Donga Ilbo. Following him, Choi Ik-han(1897〜?)，Kim Yeong-yun, and Kim Gi-seung included her works in their researches and publications. Since then, there had been no particular researches on her works until the 1980s. During the growth period in the 1990s, more systematic and specific researches were conducted on her and her works by Kim Ho-nyeon, Yang Man-jeong, Lee Kang-o, Ahn Yeong-bae, Choi Sil-gwang, and Guk Hyo-mun. Moreover, the first conference was held on her under the topic of 'literature and art of Lady Jeong from the Seol family of Sunchang' in 1996. This conference witnessed the participation of Song Jun-ho, Lee Kang-o, Lee Ga_won(1917〜2000)，and Kang Gyeong-hun. During the intensification period in the 2000s, researches on her showed an intensification and specialization tendency compared to the previous period. There were researches and books by Lee Won-bok, Gwon Si-suk，Jeong Ye-jin, Gwak No-bong, Kim Seu-rong, and Lee Gi-beom. The previous studies had some controversies including her style in her Gwangdeoksanbudoamdo and Sipnogyecheopdo included in Sipnogyecheop. The study also examined future tasks for the study of her calligraphic works. The artistic spirit of Lady Jeong from the Seol family of Sunchang was transmitted to later generations and made an axis in the art history of Joseon.
