부산지역 가족가치관의 변화 및 영향 요인

국문 초록

본 연구는 부산지역 가족에 대한 가치관이 전반적으로 어떠한지, 어떠한 변화를 경험하고 있는지, 이러한 가치관을 형성하는데 어떠한 요인이 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 이를 위해 한국여성정책연구원의 ‘여성가족패널조사’ 자료를 이용하였고 가족가치관의 변화를 분석하기 위해 2018년 제7차 조사와 2008년 제2차 조사를 활용하여 10년간의 변화를 분석하였다. 가족가치관은 결혼가치관, 자녀 가치관, 부부생활 가치관, 가족 내 성역할의 4영역으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 부산지역의 가족가치관은 전반적으로 비전통적인 방향으로, 보다 개방적이고 성평등한 방향으로 변화하고 있었다. 또한, 가족가치관에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인으로 연령, 혼인상태, 학력이 작용하고 있으며 전반적으로 20대 이하, 미혼, 전문대 및 대학 이상 학력자의 인식이 상대적으로 비전통적이며 보다 성평등한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 부부생활 가치관에서는 60대 이상, 기혼, 중학교 이하 학력자의 인식이 상대적으로 높아 다소 다른 양상을 보였다. 더불어 2008년과 2018년의 변화를 통해, 가족내 성역할 고정관념이 20대 이하, 미혼, 전문대 및 대학 이상 학력자에서 강화되는 현상을 발견하게 되었다. 이러한 현상이 우리사회 지속적인 경제적 상황의 악화와 젠더 갈등으로 인한 것인지, 부산만의 문제인지는 향후 후속연구를 통해 보다 면밀히 탐색할 필요가 있다. 향후 가족가치관의 변화에 따라 가족의 다양성 및 가족 내 성역할에 대한 사회적 인식을 확장하고 부산지역 가족 정책 및 제도를 어떻게 연결하고 모색할 것인지에 폭넓은 논의가 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze what the values of the family, how they are changing, and what factors influence the formation of these values in Busan. This study used the data of the “Women and Family Panel Survey” of the Korea Women’s Policy Institute, and analyzed the changes over the past 10 years using the 7th survey in 2018 and the 2nd survey in 2008 to analyze changes in family values. The family values were divided into four areas: marriage values, children’s values, marital life values, and gender roles within the family. The family values in the Busan are generally changing in a non-traditional direction, and in a more open and gender equal direction. In addition, age, marital status, and educational background are important factors influencing family values. Overall, perceptions of people under their 20s, unmarried, vocational college and university or higher are relatively unconventional and more gender equal. However, in terms of the values of marital life, the perception of those in their 60s or older, married, and under junior high school education was relatively high. In addition, through the changes in 2008 and 2018, it was discovered that the stereotypes of gender roles within the family were reinforced in those under the twenties, unmarried, and those with a vocational college or university or higher education. Whether this phenomenon is due to the continuous deterioration of the economic situation in our society and gender conflict or problem only in Busan needs to be explored more closely through follow-up studies. In the future, according to changes in family values, it is necessary to expand the social awareness of family diversity and gender roles within the family, and to discuss how to connect and explore family policies and systems in Busan.
