국문 초록

한국근현대사, 그 중에서도 한국독립운동사가 독자적인 학문영역으로 자리 잡을 수 있었던 것은 지속적인 독립운동사료 발굴과 정리, 편찬이 있었기에 가능했다는 점에는 이론의 여지가 없다. 이에 1948년 대한민국 정부 수립 후 국사편찬위원회, 독립운동사편찬위원회, 그리고 국가보훈처, 독립기념관 등 국가기관 및 각 지역연구기관에 의해 수집·편찬된 독립운동 관련 사료의 편찬과정을 현시점에서 돌아보는 것은 독립운동사연구의 현주소를 진단하고, 향후 연구의 방향을 제시하는 데 있어 매우 중요한 작업이라고 할 수 있다. 한국독립운동사연구는 기본적으로 1차 사료의 발굴에서 출발한다고 할 수 있다. 발굴된 사료는 분석 및 정리를 통해 가공되고, 이를 하나의 사료집으로 편찬하는 것은 궁극적으로 독립운동사 연구성과 축적으로 이어진다. 독립운동사연구의 진전과 더불어 사료에 대한 중요성은 더욱 강조된다. 연구성과의 내실 있는 축적을 위해 사료집 편찬은 지속적이고, 진일보한 단계로 나아가야 한다. 이는 곧 독립운동사 연구 역량 강화 및 독립운동사 연구 저변 확대로 연결되기 때문이다. 자료들이 산개해 있는 현실을 극복하고, 상호 비교할 수 있는 사료분석과정이 필요하다. 또한 점차 소멸되어가는 사료를 모으고, 이 사료를 체계적으로 분류하려는 노력도 필요하다. 한 걸음 더 나아가 4차 산업혁명시대의 도래에 따라 기존 사료보급 방식인 자료집 간행에서 탈피하여 ‘사료 검색’이라는 역사 연구의 패러다임 변화에 부응할 필요성이 있다.

영문 초록

There is no question that the history of Korean independence movement has been established as an independent academic area because it has been able to find, organize and compile historical materials for independence movement. Therefore, it is a very important task to review the compilation process of historical records related to the independence movement collected and compiled by the National Institute of Korean History, the Korean Independent History Compilation Committee, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, and the Independence Hall of Korea and other local research institutes after the establishment of the Korean government in 1948. The Korean Independent Movement History Study basically starts with the excavation of primary historical records. The excavated historical records is processed through analysis and theorem, and compiling it into a single historical records house ultimately leads to the research performance and accumulation of independence fighters. With the development of the history of independence, the importance of historical records is further emphasized. For substantial accumulation of research results, compilation of historical records should proceed to a continuous and advanced stage. This is because it will soon lead to the enhancement of capabilities for independent athletes’ research and expansion of the research base for independence fighters. We need to overcome the scattered reality of the data and make a mutually comparable historical records analysis process. Efforts are also needed to collect feed that is dying out and to categorize it systematically. With the advent of the era of the fourth industrial revolution, the government needs to move away from the publication of data books, which is the traditional method of distributing historical records, to respond to the paradigm shift in historical research called ‘historical records search’.
