똥의 사회 가치 평가에 대한 시론적 연구

국문 초록

이 논문은 똥에 부여한 사회 가치에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악하고, 비비(BeeVi)화장실 체계 구축을 통한 똥의 사회 가치에 관한 이상형을 제안한다. 화폐 측정의 유무 여부에 따른 똥의 사회 가치 유형을 동질형, 모방형, 이질형, 고립형 등의 네 가지로 도출한다. 이와 같은 유형화는 이상형이지만, 현대 사회에서 자연 및 똥에 대한 이해를 현실적으로 파악 하려는 시도이다. 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 똥본위화폐제도를 도입하고 확대하기 위해서 사회 시스템의 재구축은 필수적인 요소이다. 현행 수세식 화장실에 기초한 현재 기술체계가 직면한 역돌출부의 예로는 똥의 처리에 있어서 물질대사 균열이라는 환경 문제를 꼽을 수 있다. 이 문제를 해결하는 방안으로 비비화장실에 토대를 둔 사회기술체계를 적극적으로 검토할 수 있다. 기존 사회기술체계 전환에서 탈상품화, 사회계층화, 환경 불평등 등의 기준은 이행 과정을 성찰할 수 있는 지표가 될 것이다.

영문 초록

This study identifies factors that affect the social value given to feces and attempts to idealize the social value of feces through the establishment of a BeeVi-toilet system. The social value types of feces according to the existence or absence of monetary measures are derived in four categories: homogenous, imitative, heterozygous and isolated. Although this ideal type is a conceptual pure form, it is an attempt to understand realistically the understanding of feces in modern society. Based on these attempts, rebuilding the social system is an essential element in order to introduce and expand the dung feces standard money system. A typical example of reverse salients, which is based on the current flush toilet-based technology, is the major environmental problem of material metabolism rift in the treatment of feces. As a solution to these serious problems, social- technological systems based on BeeVi-toilet can be actively reviewed. The criteria for de-commodification, social stratification and environmental inequality in the transition of the existing social technology system will be indicators to reflect on the implementation process.
