  하느님이 창조한 이 세상에 큰 영향을 미치는 현대의 생태위기는 오늘날 그리스도교 신학이 대면해야 할 중요한 문제다. 과거에 주로 인간 중심으로 연구되던 그리스도론 또한 예외가 아니다. 생태문제를 염두에 두고, 자연에 무관심했던 기존의 인간 중심의 그리스도론에 대한 반성이 있었으며, 성서의 지혜 전통 동에 기초하여 그리스도론의 영역과 의의를 창조 전체로 확대하려는 시도들이 있었다. 이 글은 그리스도론에서 역사적 예수가 차지하는 중요성을 고려하여, 예수 공생활의 생태적 의의를 발굴하고 조명하려는 시도다.
  이 글의 논의는 누가복음 4:16-21을 중심으로 이루어진다. 이 글에서는 예수의 사명을 요약, 선포하는 이 구절이 희년의 전통에 서 있음에 주목하여, 희년의 사회적 차원과 함께 생태적 차원을 제시하고 강조함으로써, 예수 공생활의 생태적 의의를 주장하는 것이 정당함을 보인다. 이런 맥락에서, 하느님 나라의 선포와 치유와 식탁친교와 같은 예수의 주요 활동이 심원한 생태적 함의를 지니고 있음을 보여준다. 끝으로, 이 글은 예수의 삶의 생태적 의의가 오늘날 그리스도인들을 이른바 ‘생태적 제자직’으로 초대하고 있음을 강조한다.

영문 초록

  The ecological crisis today, which exerts an enormous impact on the world created by God, is a critical issue that Christian theology must face. However anthropologically oriented it was in the past, Christology is not an exception in this regard. With the ecological problem in mind, the anthropological Christology in which nature was by and large disregarded has been criticized, and attempts were made to expand the realm and significance of Christology to the entire creation, based on the Wisdom tradition in the Bible. This essay is an endeavor to shed light on the ecological significance of Jesus" public life, considering the importance of the historical Jesus in Christology.
  Luke 14:16-21 will be the center around which this essay unfolds. Noticing that this passage, which summarizes and proclaims the mission of Jesus, stands in the context of the Jubilee tradition, and presenting and stressing an ecological dimension in the Jubilee, I demonstrate that we are correct in claiming an ecological significance for Jesus" public life. In this context, I attempt to show that Jesus" main activities, such as the proclamation of the kingdom of God, healing, and table fellowship, have profound ecological implications. Finally, I emphasize that the ecological significance of Jesus life invites christians today to the so-called "ecological discipleship."
