영문 초록

The present study aims to explore characteristics of retirement preparation in situation in which a number of one-person households can become one elderly person household. Through this, it grasps the characteristics of one-person households and provides basic data for establishment of a strategy about measures for desirable retirement and welfare policy. The results of the study are as follows. First, one-person households had a high percentage of not owning a house, high involuntary percentage and high percentage of households that thought to sustain [the present status] for more 10 years. Regarding retirement preparation, which consisted of 5-point scale, emotional preparation of retirement, health preparation for old age and economic preparation for old age were found to be 3.14, 3.13, and 2.90 points. Level of economic preparation for old age was found to be less than 3 points. Second, as a result of the analysis on the differences of preparation for old age, when a male has a spouse and high educational level and owns a house and child, he was well prepared for retirement. Older age, one who felt good about subjective economic status and subjective health status and regular occupation were associated with good preparation for old age. Third, as a result of regression analysis (OLS) in order to explore the effect of variables of retirement preparation, in economic, emotional and overall preparation for old age, Please ensure this is appropriate and verify.it was found to have negative effect when those without own house are prospected to have bad retirement.
