『조선왕조실록(朝鮮王朝實)』에 나타난 한국 통육아의 실제 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 『조선왕조실록』에 나타난 통육아의 실제를 아동의 발달순서인 태교기(台敎期), 보양기(保養期), 교양기(敎養期)로 분류하여 살펴으로써 한국의 통육아의 실제를 밝보고 자 하다. 먼 태교기 육아는 ‘태교로 천지기운을 하다’, ‘아비는 친성(親性)으로 태교하다’, ‘어미는 심신(心身)으로 태교하다’, ‘주변의 선(積善)으로 태교하다’, ‘나랏법으로 태교를 지원 하다’의 다섯 가지 내용으로 범주화되었다. 보양기 육아는 ‘용(中庸)의 의미로 보양하다’, ‘보양이 곧 성품(性稟)으로 해지다’, ‘(禮)와 악()을 보양에 목하다’, ‘공생(共生)의 이치 로 보양하다’, ‘인심(人心)과 천심(天心)으로 보양하다’의 내용으로 정리되었다. 교양기의 육아 는 ‘본(本)을 보여 교양하다’, ‘인간의 도리(道理)를 교양하다’, ‘놀이로 지각(知覺)을 교양하다’, ‘습을 교양으로 형성하다’, ‘명한 주변인을 통해 교양하다’로 범주화되었다. 본 연구는 조선 시 왕실의 육아 실제를 살펴으로써 한국인의 육아을 이해하는데 도움이 되었다는 에 서 의의를 찾을 수 있겠다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to reveal the practices of Korean traditional child-rearing. The practices of Korean traditional child-rearing was analyzed with 『Annals of the Chosun dynasty 』in accordance with the developmental stages of infants and preschoolers and the definition of development based on Yoo An-jin(1984) and Yook Soo-hwa(2008). In this study, three categories of child-rearing were selected based on the age division of the Annals of the Chosun Dynasty, which were respectively named an antenatal training period(before birth), a health-care period(from birth, to weaning) and a culture-education training period(from after weaning, to before school entrance). In the case of the Chosun royal family, it can be seen that child-rearing is not simply an education to teach child, but parents and society recognize it as preparation and assistance. This study can be meaningful in that it helped to understand Korean traditional child-rearing practises by analyzing the realization of childcare of the royal family in the Chosun Dynasty.
