영문 초록

This paper describes a technique to generate circularly polarized microwaves(CPMs) that can drive electrodeless high intensity discharge (ELS-HID) lamps without the rotation of the bulb and presents the unique characteristics of an electrodeless high intensity discharge lamp. The conditions necessary to generate CPMs using a polarizing waveguide are explained and the photometric parameters of the ELS-HID lamp are presented.
